Hail and Farewell!

We had a smashing grand opening weekend for the Mojo Haven Blues and Rock Club! The venue that Isobela built us is amazing; open and airy with beautiful views. We have some old talent returning, and some exciting new talent joining us! Red, Iso and Hy DJed on Friday, with Zeta starting us out on Saturday evening. Hopefully Dewey will be able to follow Zeta on Saturdays real soon. Arc and Zak will play during the week, with some occasional live acts thrown in here and there. We are having a blast!

DJ Isobela likes to run what she calls a Sausage Fest during her show. It's fun and I think it helps with tips!

In addition to the new club we have a couple more vendor spots and some rental houses. The stores are staying full for the most part, but if you know anyone looking for a nice place to stay with plenty of prims point them to Holmesk please!

As they say, every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end. Here are some scenes from the last day of the GlamShack. A wonderful, magical place full of years of blood, toil, sweat and tears; song and dance, laughter and love. I wouldn't trade a second of it.

DJ Jocelyn Sands was our DJ for the last show. We had a record-breaking crowd; the only time that I've seen more people is during the first Summer Solstice festival when the Shack was on Bowie. It was definatley more people than had ever been in the Shack itself at one time, good thing the fire marshall didn't happen by! A Glamtastic time was had by all!

'Twas the weekend before Halloween...

This morning we went shopping for stuff to wear at Parky's show; she was having a Breast Cancer fundraiser with a Fantabulous DJ. The theme was pajamas; I just wore my smiley-face boxers and a "Real Men Wear Pink" tee shirt. Isobela of course had to go shopping for new PJs, as well as curlers for her hair. A good look for Halloween....

After getting our costumes ready we had a chance to catch half of Charles Coleman’s show at Blissfully Nude Beach. That's the same "Beach" that Mack and Case played at a few weeks ago; great venue. Isobela had heard Charles before but I hadn't; he is very good.

We got to Parky's a little early to set up, pretty easy actually since it was for charity and all tips were going there. Blissie had the giant Breast Cancer fundraiser tip jar set up. Everyone except Parky thought it looked like a giant breast. DJ Isobela play a great mix of "songs that you used to sing along to", and we did! It was different than the usual Celtic/Blues fare she plays there, but I thought it grand.

From there we went to NightClub Echo Echo to check on Case, who was doing a solo show. Doing it quite well I might add. Mack had gone to the Dolphins game, and the silly girl had actually wagered against the Saints! My Saints ended up winning 46-34 after falling behind by three touchdowns in the first half; it was quite a game! Now I just need to find the LM to the "Official Saints Apparel" shop for Mack...

We listened to the first bit of Joce's show, then too off to get costumed up for the 3rd Annual Elvehjem Halloween Bash! It was at Club Neptune this year, a great venue for it. Hy was able to make the some of Heath's show before heading off to his gig at Hotlanta. Crap was there, and I saw Artiane, who's blog I have been a big fan of.

Heath played a fantastic set, not his usual but a special Halloween mix. Simply superb. It would be nice to get him back to the GlamShack, he seemed to have fun the last time he was there.

There was a costume contest too, and the winner was someone who looked like they were just a small cloud of a dozen or two miniature pumpkins! Very cool. They didn't announce it, but I'm sure Isobela must have come in second.

The show at Club Neptune was longer than usual, about an hour and a half. Afterwards Isobela and I drug our weary selves back to the GlamShack for a few games of OAR. I was able to eek out a 2-1 win. Another wonderful day.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

It's been one year since we did the deed. I'm looking forward to many, many more years. This will dissappoint curm, who is still hot on me, but he'll get over it. In this past year we've been through 3 full GlamShacks and a temporary one in a tent at FDA. She's always been there for me though, as I have been for her.

Back then I had said a few things that are as true today as they were then: "I looked at her name on my profile, then my name on hers, and back and forth about a million times. She has made me so incredibly happy." "In this life, I am now complete. I am ecstatic, overjoyed, and the luckiest man in the Metaverse!"

DJ Isobela's Wild Wednesday was better attended than it has been the past few weeks; it seems many places are having trouble drawing crowds these days. DJ King had missed his show the day before so had stopped by the Shack before Isobela's show to spin some tunes for a while so that may have helped.

Robin had stopped by with two friends of hers, Tiny and Gigimarie. Tiny, of course, was not tiny. They were celebrating tiny's 3rd Rez Day so Robin brought them by the Shack for a good time. Of course Tiny got his pick of tunes to play, and DJ Isobela spun them well.

Iso wore some slinky latex number and those incredible boots of hers; I had on a black thong, trench coat and chain-stomper boots. My attire drew many comments, things like "Where's your pants, dude?" It was quite the conversation starter.

TKid and Brooke and her legs showed up; shortly after Robin tried to convince us to switch to chaps. I did of course, and a few others. Gigi had a little clothing malfunction and fled, even though we all assured her that naked was OK in the Shack. She was back shortly and soon we were all giving Tiny his Rez-Day spankings.

Ivy showed up just as Isobela was spinning the last set; she was havign a bad day. It seems like the week for bad days. We help each other out and get through them; one by one. Life is good.

Well Isobela caught me at a weak moment and talked me in to DJing. In the wee hours of Saturday morning when there was no one else around we tested it out and I was able to stream, but doing voice was a challenge. When I woke up later that morning I went back and had Joe help me try and get the microphone thing working.

It worked, so he took off but then Isobela came by and brow-beat me into trying again so that she and Hy could critique me and give me helpful hints. I played a few songs, and we got things mostly straightened out; I'm still having software issues though.

Hy and Isobela must have liked what they heard because they started sending out notices and group IMs and pretty soon we had a half of a Shack's worth of people! I guess I played for them for a half an hour or so, and had a good time doing it! DJing sure is exhausting, though; at least the way I was doing it. It would probably be easier if I had the proper equipment.

I'm looking at ways to get myself set as a DJ. Right now I guess I could do it as a last-resort type of thing, but it might be fun to have my own regular show at the Shack someday. There's always something new in this wonderful world of ours. Life is good.

Dublin has finally come to it's senses and hired the Fantabulous One to do a weekly show, Wednesday afternoons. I took off from work to be with her for the very first one and it was a blast! Blues Linden even showed up and chatted with her, he even stayed for most of the show! The dublin people are a little slow in getting Isobela's picture up on the wall with all of the other DJs; I'll have to beat Ajay for that.

Later we went back to Thassa to check on the renovations. There was some changes near the watermill, and a new bridge was put in to get to the northern outcropping. A very cool place.

An Arousing GlamShack Welcome!

DJ BusyBee stood in for DJ Isobela this week at the Friday Slide into the Weekend party at the GlamShack and did a simply Fantabulous job, even burdened with me as a host! We had a larger crowd than usual, likely there to see and hear this delightful new treat! DJ BusyBee has a busy schedule, but hopefully we will see her at the GlamShack again soon.

Mack and Case followed DJ BusyBee in their quest to tear up the Grid with their enthusiasm and talent. With the song from their upcoming album making their way onto the Friendly Fire playlist we have a delicious variance in their shows. We had an extra treat as Mack and Case stayed on after their show to DJ! According to Meggie, Hy had a case of the the dreaded attachus interruptus so the Dynamic Duo did a special Bakie Friday show! Apparently they had a new appliance that they wanted to test live and on the air; from all reports it was a big hit!

The rest of the weekend was a blur of building; Isobela is fashioning a new GOAT to be ready for the Summer session and I have been trying to help in my own small way. We did have a nice break in this small, beautifully-landscaped valley called Unintended Water. I stopped by Mikki's store as well; my picture doesn't do it justice but it is a very nice clothing boutique. Another cool place in our wondrous, ever-changing world.

Right Where It All Started!

It was a Fantabulous Carraig at 1pm SLT. From the rocky headland, DJ Isobela made a triumphant return to Fibber Magees - the home of Rock ‘n’ Roll in Dublin. Mash sang live before her to warm the crowd up. Riko was her hostess and did a fairly good job, almost up to GlamShack standards. There was a good crowd of Lads 'n' Lassies ending their day there, plus even more enjoying her on Dublin Radio! I had made a special effort to be there for this first regular show of hers there and had a simply marvelous time. DJ Isobela Rocks!

After the show she barely had time to beat me with an OAR and whip up an incredible new stage for the GOAT before it was time to head down to her show at the GlamShack! There's never a bad time for Rock and Roll, and this was a better time than most because DJ Isobela had taken the stream at the Shack and was making it sing for us! We all had a serious infusion of Fantabulousness and partied the night away. Life is good.

Glam Me A New Year!

What a wonderful and wacky year it was; what a wonderful and wacky year it will be! The New-Year's Eve Extravaganza at the GlamShack was a fitting tribute to the year in review. If my addled brain remembers correctly all of the amazing DJs that play at the GlamShack each week did a special half-hour presentation. We did miss some occasional artists though, such as the incredible DJ Ajay. The high-point for me was the Friendly-Fire show, a glamtastic echoing of all of their hit new songs that were released during the closing year. There were even three songs in a row from their upcoming album including "Happy Go Lucky" and "Candlelight" but not "Untitled song in G part 1 and 2".

I predict that at the end of this year I'll still be around, still be stuck (of course), and will be once again yammering about what a wonderful and wacky year it was and what a wonderful and wacky year it will be. I don't know about ya'll, but I'm going fishin.

Early Friday afternoon DJ Isobela was playing the Celtic Kitchen Sink at Parker's Pub! Parky has a new location, and a new layout of her pub, but still all the same fantabulousness. After leaving there we barely had time for me to beat Isobela in a game of On A Roll before it was time for the Friday Slide into the Weekend party to start on GlamShack Beach! The Fantabulous One played her usual awesome tunes and was followed by Friendly Fire, who had a new song and DJ Hy with his and Meggie's Naked/Nekkid/Nakey/Nakie Friday show!

My friend Portcia was there for the Friendly Fire show to help us celebrate one year of service as Friendly Fire Officers for Ajay, Isobela and I. It was kinda touching; Mack and Case had made up all sorts of lies to tell about us in between songs, and even had some awesome trophies made! Mine is on my fire place mantle now (unless Isobela has torn down the house and built a new one that is, she's been on a building kick as of late.)

The Friday Night Train Wreck was Little Drummer Boy - a sure sign that Saint Nick is about to need to send his suit to the dry-cleaners to get all the chimney soot out! As usual the show was sponsored by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures By Mack. Willa had invited Mony to Hy's show, and Mony had tried to act all innocent. What a card! There was also a rather odd discussion brought on by Brooke stating "thx gawd i got insurance on my legs." It all just goes to show you; the GlamShack is a journey, not a destination.

Saturday morning Isobela and I played On A Roll against some acquaintances of ours, Joe and Portcia. Joe's real name is Joenik, but he prefers Joe so that what I call him except when I want to piss him off. They are pretty cool people, although they tend to get kinda quiet whenever they are around Isobela and I. They aren't very good On A Roll players though, we beat them easily. It's too bad Mack wasn't around to watch the game, I'm sure she would have gotten a big kick out of it.

That afternoon Friendly Fire played on the Atlantis Stage for the Virtual Live Band Party / Mambo's Rez-Week celebration. The Little Drummer Boy was again in attendance, as was my friend Ian. Mack and Case performed a new Song for us, Happy Go Lucky from their upcoming album Cockeyed Optimist. It is a very cool song; I can't wait for the album to come out. Perhaps I'll ask Joe to go wait at Wal-Mart in the album section so we can be among the first to get a copy of the album!

Later on Isobela and I went on an exploration spree. We visited the unfinished land of a good friend of hers, one of the features of which is the Hobgoblin Public House. It's kinda of a bar / dance hall thing; Isobela might even DJ there a couple times to help open the place. There is a very cool picnic area out back that looks over the ocean, too, so we rested there for a while.

Before too long it was time to go to the Holiday Party at Cat and Tali's place! They have quite a nice place, perfect for partying! A good dance area, a skating pond and a seating area around the humongeous fireplace. Plus, the trays of natural aphrodisiacs only helped the awesome atmosphere.

Cat was DJing Celtic stuff for us so Isobela and I danced and danced. Cat was also handing out presents, stuff that she and Tali had made! They guys received these cool top hats with holly wreaths around them, and the ladies holly wreaths to be worn as crowns! Truly awesome gifts, as we were out and about later I received many compliments on it.

We stopped by the Shack for a while, played a few games of OAR, then went out exploring some more. We stopped by a Winter Wonderland,

and a huge mushroom patch that was very hard to drag Isobela away from!

Finally we found some very cool woodlands and went for a relaxing stroll.

On Sunday I delivered the Group Tip Jar script and object that I had been working on to my friend Portie. Isobela has dumped most of the work for running the GOAT on poor Portie. She had kept changing her mind about whether the tip jar needs to share between 3 or 4 people; it was straightforward to fix just a little time-consuming. I had tested it thoroughly; I hope she doesn't find any problems with it.

I have also been working on a Jet Pack; Joe is helping me some with it. I was wearing an early model of it when Joe and I stopped by the Fjord to see Friendly Fire; I think Mack may have noticed it before I got it off and put away. We still have alot of work to do on it, the early model showed us the strengths and weaknesses just as it's supposed to. I'll be working on the mechanics of the device itself whilst Joe concentrates on the human-device interface. Hopefully being able to associate his name with it will make it more saleable.

I have made a few more sales of my Flying Double Dance Disk, probably 8 total now. I made GlamShack and Glamnation beach towels and set them out for sale cheap, but I haven't sold any. I haven't advertised them at all so it's no wonder there have been no sales. I'm working on GlamShack and Glamnation massage towels in my spare time; once I have them done and maybe the Jet Pack I'll see about putting them all in a vendor on a cart and actually advertising.

I was thinking of another item I could make and sell, but forget exactly what it is now. I have it written down somewhere. I think it was some type of hat; maybe a GlamShack / Glamnation-themed crash helmet for use with the Jet Pack? Hmmm, maybe I'll put a big spike on top of it too for ramming. There are so many exciting, interesting, wonderful things to do in this world. There are so many exciting, interesting, wonderful people to share them with, too. We are all so lucky.

Sunday was a fantastic day at the Savoy, the Metaverse's premier Jazz and Blues club! There had been a whole host of DJs all day; I was able to get there to see the end of DJ Hy's show and then enjoyed DJ Crighton. Then it was DJ Isobela's turn and I helped with her show (Portcia had sent some awesome notices for His Hyness!) DJ Isobela spun hits from the Trans-Siberian Orchestra as well as seasonal and Celtic favorites.

Next up was the wonderful Nina Brandenberg and her amazing voice singing holiday favorites. We had heard her regular show just the night before, so her Christmas show was a double treat for us. Tonight Aeryn accompanied her on piano for the first part of the show, and then Heath Elvehjem took the ivories and backed Nina up for the rest of her show!

When Nina finished Heath played an amazing mixture of traditional Christmas tunes and laid back numbers to celebrate the joy of season. Aianna read The Grinch during Heath's interlude. It was so nice to have Heath and the fans of his that we know together with our Savoy friends; there were even some Glammers there! Mack was there for a good while, and I saw Case show up during the reading, but I couldn't see through the crowd if they actually danced together like they were threatening to or not.

Isobela had brought Heath to the Savoy to play as a Christmas gift to me. I am so lucky. Christmas Jazz and Blues at the Savoy... lots of good stuff on the ice... under the stars... in the snow... by the twinkling lights of the trees... Life doesn't get any better than this.

Last Firday was our first TGINF at the new GlamShack! Isobela and Hy were back in town and it was as Glamtastic as ever! The Friendly Fire Train Wreck was Boogey Shoes, brought to us as always by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures By Mack! Towards the end of the evening we sled into a nakey On A Roll tournament which I won three games to two!

On Monday I worked on my Friendly Fire Christmas Tree ornament; I forget when we had to have them in by but I think they will burn the first tree this Thursday. Isobela stopped by and we went to see what she had done with the new GOAT and Hy's blues stage; excellent work! From there we went to Metempsyche's Garden, a very cool place, then we went next door to the Sunfire Gallery of Arts and Island Resort. One of Isobela's comments was: "This is trippy, this is trippy, this is trippy. OK, this is cool. I like this alot."

After that it was a Heath Christmas concert in Roma Antiqua. Elven maiden Aianna has been helping him with his Christmas shows by reading a short Christmas story in her soft, ethereal voice; very nice. Heath and Aianna will be at the Savoy this Sunday, I hope everyone can make it!

Afterwards we worked on our Friendly Fire Christmas Tree ornaments some more. Mine is pretty much done so I started working on a blinking light Christmas tree. We hit the Shack for a game or 3. Life is so good.

A New GOAT!

I worked on the new GOAT, made some steps to get up on stage more easily then got into a snowball fight with Tracy, Ajay, Syn and a few others. After drying off and changing I went to the Beach party on Journey Island with DJ Farr Hostess Argus. They were having a Kings and Queens costume contest; I went as a King and won 2nd place with a nice cash reward! Cisco came in first and Leland third, and it was Gunny D, Neals and Rosie for the ladies.

Caught the last half of Friendly Fire at NeatTricks, I was just in time for I love I LOVE THIS SONG!! They have a very cool venue, part of the dance floor was a mock-up of a record player that you could dance on as it spun around! I think it was some type of anniversary party as the Nails played after Mack and Case.

Later I was able to see a special show of Heath's with Isobela at the Aroha Tahi Public Park. He played some Christmas and some very jazzy tunes. I like his older stuff a little better, but this was good all the same.

Afterwards we did some more work on the GOAT; it's really looking good. Then I won our goodnight game of OAR. Life is good.

A Short Slide

DJ Isobela and DJ Hy had to cancel their normal Friday night shows, but Friendly Fire lit up the night in a good old-fashioned revival-tent show in Joiner! The GlamShack is having a makeover so the shows this week are across from Gestures By Mack in the GlamTent! DJ Isobela and DJ Hy will be performing at their normal times next weekend!

The Friday Night Train Wreck, which was of course brought to us by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures By Mack, was My Best Friend's Girlfriend; quite a stirring rendition as a matter of fact. My good friend Alaska passed by, I hadn't seen her in ages! We were also blessed to hear I Love This Song, but it was played at the same time I was sending mid-show notices. It's so hard to get good help these days!

DJ Ajay had played in Dublin earlier, unfortunately I was working in an undisclosed location and had to miss it. She plays the best music! Isobela and I played On A Roll against Tracy and Mack and beat them 3 games in a row! Isobela and I have played so often we each know the other thought and strategies; we make an excellent team! Life is good!

The Friday Night Slide was one big party honoring Lesbibutbi for her elevation to the ranks of Friendly Fire Officer! DJ Isobela started us out with Classic Rock on Bowie Beach. The dynamic duo of Friendly Fire took over and a little over halfway through their show held the coronation! Mack had many nice things to say about Les; I'm sure she's going to be a great addition. Isobela was also honored with a hat-trick award from a couple of weeks ago; 3 shows in one day with a smile on her face!

DJ Hy and hostess mikki followed Mack and Case with Naked/Nekkid/Nakey/Nakie Friday and the usual cast of characters. Promise had stayed for Hy's show and somehow had gotten tape stuck all over her! Arc showed up wearing balloons which the girls promptly popped. One big happy family.

There was a Who's Who of Journey Rock Island gathered in the Escape Club to celebrate Farr's Birthday Thursday night! Argus said he was 22, but somehow I doubt that. DJ Raven was spinning his usual fantastic tunes, ably assisted by hostess Gussie. Isobela and I made the second half of the show, but Mack and Case had back-to-back shows themselves so couldn't make it. We had a real nice time seeing old friends we hadn't seen in a while.

On Wednesday night after the Fantabulous One finished DJing her Hump-day show at the GlamShack we headed over to the Savoy to hear the end of DJ Oggden's Jazz Fusion show. It was his first night performing at the Savoy; the music wasn't quite what I expected but good nonetheless. Dee and Cay opened their new club on the same night with DJ Justine; I wasn't able to make it there but hope to soon. Isoebla and I had stopped by a few days earlier and saw them putting the finishing touches on the place; they even had a GreedyGreedy table! Life is good.

Friday started with California Dreaming on Bowie Beach with DJ Isobela! It was board shorts and/or bikinis as the Fantabulous One spun Californesque for the Friday Slide into the Weekend party at the GlamShack. After that it was Mack and Case and multiple eargasms! Mikki had declared it a neko night to celebrate GoGo's return from the hospital, but Mack's tail got in the way of her poofer controls!

It was also a (somewhat late) celebration of Tracy's Rez Day. Quite a few people that we don't see at the GlamShack too often were there, including Gussie, Raven, Panther, Argus and even Niky! DJ Hy topped off the evening with mikki and TGINF, which seems to be drawing bigger and bigger crowds. We might want to start thinking about moving to a bigger place!

Saturday morning I saw ELiz singing and playing guitar at the Blarney Stone. Later we went to the Open Mic at the GOAT which included a Friendly Fire Half-Replugged show. They had a very Bluesey sound; Punk Blues as Isobela described it. Phiona closed the show with a very good performance of her own.

We went exploring at Paradise Falls at Wales Harbour,

and in Poetic Realms,

and even found some time to go fishing!

Fishing was really cool, I'm definitely going to look in to doing it some more, and finding new fishing holes. It might even be worthwhile to set up a fishing spot at the GlamShack!

I also played plenty of On A Roll over the weekend, or at least tried to. Mack and Isobela kept beating me mercilessly! I'd get a win in every once in a while, but overall received a pummeling.

Sunday night Friendly Fire was playing at Echo Echo; one of the officers scheduled to work had had something come up so Isobela and I went over to help work the show. Mack and Case were in a celebratory mood as the Dolphins had won; and the Saints (5-5) had too for that matter!

We closed out the weekend dancing and listening to Heath at Angel Shark Shallows. Crighton stopped by for the last quarter of the show as well. Heath was talking about doing some special Christmas shows; it would be way cool if he stopped by the Savoy some time in mid-December! Woot! Life is so good.

Ten Ones in a Row!

Isobela rolled 2 Yahtzees in a row! All of them ones! If she's gonna cheat she shouldn't be so blatant about it. Of course she won that game, but lost 3 games to 5 overall.

After all those games we barely made the end of the DJ King and mikki show; we were just in time for DJ Isobela to Rock the GlamShack! We're past the peak of the work-week and maintaining momentum on a downward slope. I anticipate a very special slide this weekend!

According to Isobela, you can Google "cheating smarmy rat" and my picture is there! Woot! DJ Ando and AuroraDawn played at the GlamShack on Monday, their show was earlier than we thought. We danced a bit, then played On A Roll through his show and part of Case's and Ajay's afterwards, then called it a night.

Tuesday morning I stopped by the TryLine Sports Bar in Dublin to listen to DJ Shayla; I forget the name of her hostess but she was doing a good job. They have a pool table there but I've never seen anyone using it; I'll have to stop by when it isn't so crowded and try a game.

DJ Isobela's show at the Savoy was themed "Women that got them blues"; all female artists with playful, modern electric blues in all its diverse shades and colorations. Her hostess mikki kept things light and airy in her flirty sort of way. The west-coast crowd was active and jamming, so DJ Isobela played well over time. It was some really good music, excellent snogging songs.

I kinda skipped my birthday on Monday; I didn't want to make a fuss. I was hoping to see Clovis to wish him a happy birthday too, but I missed him. Here's hoping our 234th year is as much of a blast as all the others!

A splitting headache!

DJ Isobela Rocked our Hump-Day, classic Rock with Southern tease and a West-Coast flair. Always a good time! Plus plenty of OAR, usually at the store. We visited Plasma City 3, a simply amazing place! Comments were "OK This is worth the proce of admission" and "This is very cool!" We found two awesome rides made by MadCow that we rode, plus a friendly chimp-headed robot! Most excellent!

Friday I missed the Fantabulous One and Friendly Fire, but I did make it to Hy and mikki's show. The theme was nakie alts night and the place was packed! People did a 6-person pyramid, but the photos are not fit for publication in a family-oriented journal such as this. I never did figure out quite what an alt was though.

Saturday I stopped by the GOAT for a bit and saw Skylord playing the piano skyclad; a few members of the audience had joined him as well. Technical difficulties made it hard to hear him, but Jukebox came on later to play the guitar and sing and the problems seem to have cleared up.

I was able to make the Friendly Fire show at the Pirate Pussy Music Festival in the Port of New Orleans! They did their usual fantastic show, and I did see one pirate, but that was all. Case sang a new song, I think it's called "The best day in my life!" It's an awesome love story which he says he won't play it again until after their next album comes out. All of the ladies cried like faucets; I went through all of my hankies, and they are Copyable! I think album name is Cockeyed Optimistic? Case's diction wasn't the best on his third show of the day.

I had double poofer duty and had forgotten that I had filtered out poofs! I kept trying to trigger Mack's poofer but I didn't see anything so I keep clicking and clicking and clicking..... Later we went to the Sculptomancy and bought some trees; they have way cool bridges there too! We ended the night dancing in the Rainforest.

Sunday we watched the Saints (4-5) lose to Atlanta, but on the bright side Friendly Fire was playing at Fjordsguilden Market. As Case (who was very horny) said: "This place is awesome! Come on down and let's party, the Dolphins won and we're all fired up! Joce and all the gang are here, glam yer butts to the show!" My friend Kasia was there too! They had longboat rides but Isobela and I weren't able to try it; some other couple kept taking it!

Isobela and I officered for Mack and Case at NightClub Echo Echo that night; I think it was the fifth show she worked that weekend. What a champ! We all got our pixels rocked to the core, and true to his word Case didn't play the new song despite all of Isobela's pleading. I think the drummer really wants to play it again, too.

After the show we had a GlamShack owners meeting, then went to listen to Heath at Angel Shark Shallows. His music really carries you to a different level. We are so lucky. Life is good.

Trouble at the Savoy!

★☆★Sultry Voiced DJ Isobela★☆★ played some scorching blues at the Savoy Tuesday night. The featured artist was Aynsley Lister, the album was Everything I Need. "He is one of very few artists playing rocking blues with a modern edge -tangible, heartfelt, soul searching and full of fine songwriting; played with passion and vitality. His hard hitting rhythms and guitar work are reminiscent of a young Clapton." Totally awesome tunes by DJ Isobela as always.

Hostess Mikki was there to keep the party lively. Willa was there interviewing, but I'm not quite sure what type of position she was interviewing people for. I always seem to get so distracted when I'm there. Oh, and Aeryn shot an intruder! I didn't catch who it was, but Joe caught a ricochet with his teeth! There was a not-Moose named Squiffy laying on the dance floor for a little bit, and I thought she may have shot him, but then he got up and ran away. Needless to say the gunfire disrupted Willa's interview.

Isobela beat me soundly at On A Roll as well. Even so, life is good.

This Friday I set some champagne dance glasses out in the usual places around the GlamShack to get things ready for the show, then went out to do the trick or treat thing. I was able to make it back for the last quarter of Friendly Fire's Glamtastic show. For TGINF Tracy was handing out pumpkin face t-shirt; how silly. Koko came by, actually she was stopping by for a few minutes at a time all night. After the show Mack and Hy beat Isobela and I in a game of On A Roll.

On Saturday afternoon we had a GlamShack Officer's Meeting / On A Roll game. Mack wanted to play Boys vs. Girls and of course the Boys won three runs to zero! I placed my Flying Double Dance Discs at the GlamShack and GOAT for sale, L$150 each. I also set up a store at the Animations Center where they had a great deal on rental space, L$1 per week. I'm not counting on getting many sales there, but it is a good, inexpensive way to see how mall things work.

In the evening Isobela and I took some pictures that we had been wanting to take for a while; that was very nice. Later we played On A Roll at the store; in the first game I rolled 2 Yahtzees in a row and won of course, then she beat me 3-2 in the second game and 3-1 in the third.

We did a bit of exploring around the Princeton Groups - Diversity. A very interesting area, one part was having an electrical storm and it was snowing in another. Isobela's comments were "This is actually pretty cool", "Ohh, that's kind groovy" and other such synonyms.

Friendly Fire played at the Bushy Beard on Sunday; they were having a big contest with a bunch of bands and singers. The place was packed to the gills, 54 people at one point. Mack and Case were asking everyone that they knew to stop by and vote for them on the contest board. They had a really good show, they were really playing to the crowd and the crowd was responding to the band. Later we learned that they won Second Place with a prize of some cash and a guitar.

As soon as we were done there it was time to get ready for Nic and Meggie's Wedding. Isobela and I sat with Port and Joe; it was a lovely ceremony. The bride even arrived in a horse-drawn carriage! At the reception there was a singer who did an excellent job with all sorts of lovey-dovey songs while the lovely couple had the first dance, cut their cake and Hy made a wonderful toast to them.

Friendly Fire played a short set after the singer was finished. Promise and I officered, and Isobela helped. I Love I LOVE THIS SONG, and I pulled double poofer duty. After pictures there was even a fireworks show! The Happily Ever After people really know how to do a wedding right.

When the festivities were done there we went back home to change, and rest a little bit before heading over to Nightclub Echo Echo for our third Friendly Fire show of the day. It started a little late because Case was off accepting their award from the contest at the Bushy Beard earlier, or at least that was his excuse. I think that was all just a ploy to get Mack to set up the stage all by herself.

Their show was as fantastic as ever, many new people and people that I don't usually see around the GlamShack. We stayed for DJ Jocelyn and hostess Argus' Sunday night Mayhem and Madness. She had a play anything theme. We stayed there most of the night, dancing and singing. Life is good.

As soon as I got home on Tuesday night I learned of an emergency Friendly Fire show at Cat's Club that had just started, so I rushed right over. Dee and Isobela were there and had things well in hand, but Isobela had her own show scheduled to start as Mac and Case were ending so I took over for her. Things were Rocktastic; I hadn't officered a Friendly Fire show away from the GlamShack or Echo Echo for ages and it was cool seeing so many new people.

There was a slight problem, though; I couldn't seem to get Mack's poofer to work. I kept feeling all around for it but couldn't find it. I checked mine and it wouldn't work either, and I knew right where it was! I figured that it must be sunspots causing all of our poofers to fail at the same time.

DJ Isobela was playing at the Savoy with Borealis hosting. It was SRV night, not a specific album but more like Isobela's favorites. It was awesome music! The Savoy was still done up for Halloween so we went in costume, it'll take a good dry-cleaner to get all of that makeup stain off of my jacket.

We had spent the afternoon getting our costumes ready for the show. She had a great turnout and even better music. DJ Isobela got all choked up at what a great time all the great people were having, and it was a really great time; she said "You guys are the cure for the Blues!"

The GlamShack became the SilkShack on Wednesday night as DJ Isobela Rocked us out! It was a wear your silks or come as you are event; no costume required but the sumptuous, shimmering silks were a sight to see. The music were was Rock instead of Blues but was just as amazing; I sure hope she saved her playlist. It was the best Wednesday night that I can remember. DJ King and mikki were before us and DJ Donagh and merry spun next so it was a night of glamtastic Rock and Roll!

Thursday night/Friday eve found DJ Crighton and Kimala at the GlamShack, out on the beach. I am worried about Mack and Case, they were looking very pale; hope they will be able to make their Friday show! DJ Crighton drew quite a large crowd, many of the usual crew plus many that I don't see too often and many I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting yet. Hmmm, I wonder if DJ Hy isn't able to play one Friday night, God forbid, but if not maybe we could get DJ Crighton and Kimala to do a show. It would be cool to see all of those friendly new faces on a Friday night!

Canogaling

This morning I was lucky enough to be able to catch DJ Isobela's Fantabulous Monday Blues show at the World Music Club in Wanderlust. She was as super-groovy as always; mikki and Aeryn showed up too and we all bad-mouthed DJ Crighton. I tied for first in the Come As You Are costume contest; host With broke the contest board broke again and the owner had to count the votes manually.

After the show we played On A Roll at the store. They have new tables with more comfortable chairs, even some 2-player chairs. There is also a new game called Canoga that we tried; after a practice game Isobela soundly defeated me 3 games in a row. It plays much faster than GreedyGreedy, but I don't think I like it as much. We also took a shot at playing Khet but neither of us liked it too much, even though it does have cool laser destruction of pieces.

Back at Tidings we terraformed a bit more. We had gotten rid of the giant rock amphitheater and raised the dance floor to make a, ah, basement; for, um, storing the lawnmower and such. Yeah, that's it. Plus we moved a bunch of trees around; it looks alot better than it used to.

DJ Ando and hostess AuroraDawn were at the GlamShack later. The music was a little heavier than I am used to, but was real good as an occasional thing. Ultra-DJ Case and Ajay performed next. Their music theme was whatever Case wants to listen to. Ajay had everybody crank-call poor Rosi when it was the middle of the night where she was. curm and Case and Synapse were feeding off of each other's wild imaginations had us in stitches all night.

We went shopping for Halloween costumes and found some real good stuff. Isobela got lucky too! Right there on a lucky chair, in front of a whole crowd of people! After a couple games of On A Roll at Hy and Tracy’s place where the dice weren't being very nice to Isobela we went dancing in a rainforest to top off the night. We are so lucky.

Rocktoberfest!

Sunday was Rocking Rocktoberfest at the GOAT! I got there early to help set up; took down the slide and set out a "To The GOAT" sign right next to the front of the GlamShack. We all rocked out to Zaphod, DJ Borday, Anek, DJ CharlieB, Nanorock, Mason, Johnny99 and Skylord! It was quite an amazing day. Isobela and mikki and Promise and Dee and Rosi and Abbey and Meggie and even Portcia all did quite a fantastic job, along with everyone else I've forgotten.

Later we went to the Savoy Halloween Party, the Jazziest Halloween party in the metaverse! DJ Cat was doing an awesome job of mixing favorites of the season with amazing Jazz and rocking Blues. The place was decorated just great, very very spooky. They had even ripped up the dance floor so were were dancing on bare earth, on top of who knows whose bones!

After DJ Cat we went to play On A Roll at Hy's place; he and Mack cheat even worse than Isobela! We beat them anyway; 3-2 in the first game and 3-1 in the second. Mack said that she wanted Isobela to give her some On A Roll lessons the next day. Isobela is such a giver. Life is good.

LaReve - WOW!

On Thursday we went to FallenAngel Creations and rode their Roller Coaster. It was much faster than other roller coasters that I have been on, especially right out of the gate. They also have a cool maze up in a skybox there.

From there we played On A Roll and Isobela informed me that there was a Cheating Rat in my mirror. I won that game, and a game of GreedyGreedy. Rather than giving her a chance to get even I talked her into visiting the E8 Polytope model. They have all sorts of totally awesome geometric shapes and colors and such.

From the Polytope we were able to catch the last half of Mack and Case's show at Club Casa Blanco. Joce and Missy were there, I hadn't seen them at a Friendly Fire show in a while. Curm was there as well and curm was curm.

Kimala hosted the first annual "T & A Nite... Why skirt the issue?" show with DJ Crighton at the GlamShack later. Their Thursday night shows are getting quite a reputation. And a good one at that!

The Friday Slide into the Weekend party started with DJ Isobela the GlamShack, out on Bowie Beach actually. There was a very light turnout at first, but then Rosi showed up and started offering skedaddling lessons. That brought in a good crowd so that we were all ready for Friendly Fire at 6.

Mack and Case and their dedicated drummer continued along the slippery slope of the Slide in to the Weekend. The Friday Night Train Wreck was brought to us by Fairplay Designs and Arts and by Gestures By Mack; it was a stirring rendition of Beast of Burden. I had double poofer duty one again, and Mack kept jumping around on stage making it as hard as possible for me to poof her. She may have been jumping like that because a panda bear was trying to muscle-in on their gig!

DJ Hy's Naked/Nakey/Nakie/Nekkid Friday was missing it's longtime, charismatic hostess mikki. Meggie filled in for her as hostess, even though Hy insisted on calling her his host all night long. That boy needs new glasses. Brunette Brooke was there along with lots of newcomers, not many partook but we're working on them.

As usual things were best during the latter part of the show. Aeryn showed up to keep things light, and Meggie did a most excellent job filling in for mikki. That Meggie sure knows how to talk people out of their clothes!

Saturday morning confirmed my status as a cheating rat. We played guess what and I came back from being down 2 runs down. That evening we made it to AC and Emedea's Halloween party dressing fairly gothic. DJ Tali was spinning some awesome tunes and everyone had a great time. There was even a three-way tie for best costume!

When the party was over we went exploring at LaReve. I totally awesome place. Isobela's comments included "It's cool!" "This is so cool!" "Wow, this is cool!" "This is just very cool!" "This is amazing!". After seeing all they had to offer there we e called it an early night to get ready for the big day tomorrow.

ROCKTOBERFEST - Sunday, October 26th!

ROCKTOBERFEST this year is at the Glamnation Open Aire Theatre! The GOAT is a wonderful open venue to start any rock and roll tour! This year we are blessed with 2 DJs and 6 live acts each with a one-hour show. The first show starts at 10am and the last at 5pm SLT.

Zaphod Theas delivers a high-energy electric-guitar based rock show! He plays mostly original material, ranging from soulful to heavy, with roots in blues, folk, punk, indie & classic rock.

DJ Borday's sultry voice has been warming the airwaves in the Metaverse and Old Country and spins the best in classic and modern rock and blues.

Anek Fuks has been playing his electric guitar on the California beach and mainland curcuit for some 30 years now.

DJ CharlieB Hastings spins slick Rock antipodean-style!

Nanorock Tuqiri is a latin guitarist who plays Rock instrumental, Blues, Funk, Rock, Metal, etc.,playing some awsome covers using his own style, as well as their famous improvisations!

Mason Thorne plays mostly folk music but you might get lucky and hear something from this century as well.

Johnny99 Gumshoe jamz live electric blues and screaming rock guitar over bass and drum tracks making for an incredible live show with great sound!

Skylord Carnell plays Country, Rock, Blues, Jazz, POP, R&B, classical, novelty songs, it's all in there! even songs arranged just for the Metaverse!

Eeyore had been turned into werewolf, Brooke was looking very witchy in long black hair, and even curm had turned into a vampire!

Blues for May

Tuesday night means Blues at the Savoy with DJ Isobela; West Coast Blues with a southern flair and a hint of Jazz. Tonight's music was just spectacular; as Borealis said Isobela outdid herself. She had been on a spending spree and had bought a bunch of new bluesy stuff for us. It was an absolutely fantastic night. Squiffy, Mort, Clovis, Brooke, Hy, mikki, Nic, Meggie, Lazy, John, theresa, Victorio, Borealis, Gossamer and even Koko was there.

DJ Isobela's show at the Savoy was dedicated to Grandma May, who recently passed. She drove a Camaro in her 80's; what a super-cool person. If only we could all be like her. We love you Grandma.

Terrific Tempura

I was helping Isobela work on the GOAT some this afternoon. Well, OK it was more like heckling, but anyway we were both there when the ground started shaking and trembling like an earthquake! After that plateau rising in North Bowie the day before we didn't know what was happening so we got out of there fast.

The seismic disturbances disrupted the DJ Ando and Aurora dawn show too; they weren't able to start until halfway through their scheduled show. In the meantime Isobela and I went to the 'store' to play On A Roll. The poor dear was having a bad night; I beat her 3-0. I won at the GreedyGreeedy tournament too; I won't say the score but we played the best 3 out of 5 without a need for the last game

From there we did a little exploring, heading first to nishi Beach. Isobela described the place as an "Acid trip nightmare!" I would tend to agree; it is a pretty neat place. I really liked the psychedelic dragon hovering offshore. They have a store in a skybox, but there was nothing that would really go with our home.

Tempura Island is a simply amazing place. It is billed as an area with all sorts of romantical stuff. There is a magnificent ballroom; trees and waterfalls and all sorts of neat nature stuff; bridges big and small and ponds and even dedicated tai-chi exercise area. Way cool.

Back home we worked on the house some more, hanging some more pictures ("Your other left!"), making plans for the courtyard and Isobela started working on a new fireplace for the back patio while I worked on my grill. It is a really awesome home. We are so blessed.

The Black Horse

We played On A Roll at the GlamShack while watching Saints (3-4) lose to Carolina. At least the game table was playing well, much better than usual but still nowhere near as well as it plays at the store. Isobela had a wardrobe malfunction in a major way while we were there, good thing we were at the GlamShack instead of the store!

I was upgraded to a "sexy bomb ass cheater". The dice hated both of us today, but her a little less. Later we did go to the store to play some GreedyGreedy and she beat me 3-0. By then we were a little tired of playing games so we decided to go demolish our house.

We re-did the landscaping and Isobela built a cool adobe hacienda on a plateau that had emerged from the water int he northeast corner of our lot. I built yet another pier for the Tester and then helped her arrange and re-arrange furniture. One gigantic concrete planter that held a full grown tree had to be moved at least a few dozen times.

After cleaning up we went country line-dancing at a place called the 'Black Horse' Saloon (no apparent relationship to the Armored Cavalry Regiment of the same name). We got all dressed up in our cowboy costumes and it turns out they were having a cheerleaders and football players theme night. I have a couple of nice cheerleader outfits but Isobela convinced me that it would be best to show that side of myself as it was our first time there.

Later it was back to the K.R. Engineering store for another game of On A Roll, and then another won; I was able to win both of these. To top off the night we went back home for a little more touch-up on the house; thankfully the concrete planter stayed where it was. It doesn't get any better than this.

Halloween Season has Officially Arrived!

Cheyenne had blogged about a Mah Jong table you can pick up for free, so I did! Isobela and I played a few games, it is single-player only but you can have a friend help you out. We each kept reaching for the same pieces and getting in each other's way and snapping at each other and having a blast.

Tuesday night at the Savoy was a blast as usual; it is my second-favorite night in the Metaverse! The DJ favored me with a dance or two. Joe and Port on Drums and Bass for a bit, then they went to dance and snog in the crowd. DJ Tight was there; Isobela described him as one of the best Blue's DJs in the Metaverse, right after DJ Isobela, DJ Cat and DJ Hy.

On Wednesday my friend Koko was on Tun Tavern (Forward) with Isobela. Jia stopped by to say hi; she and Koko seemed to get along really well. They were planning on coming to the GlamShack on Friday for our Boxers on Bowie Beach with DJ Isobela. Knowing Jia she'll probably hang around for Friendly Fire and TGINF as well.

Isobela and I played On A Roll during King's show at the GlamShack; Iso brought in a ringer to play for her and they together beat me 3-2! Right after that was the DJ Isobela Rocks your Hump-Day show. It was quite a fine performance, though we missed Friendly Fire at Haute Couture doing a Breast Cancer charity fundraiser. DJ Donnagh and merry followed with Don playing awesome music, stuff I hadn't heard before but liked.

You know that Halloween season has officially arrived when Mack and Case sing Monster Mash! Friendly Fire had their usual Thursday-night show at Club Casa Blanco and the joint was jumping. There were many new faces there, which is cool.

From there we went to the GlamShack to play On A Roll and enjoy DJ Crighton and Kimala's excellent show. Unfortunately Isobela broke the On A Roll table, but the show more than made up for it. Somehow a giant male member appeared in the Shack, it had to be 20 feet long! The girls were all up dancing on it and commenting on it and we were all laughing ourselves silly.

Friday saw us at Parker's Pub where Isobela was DJing. It was a very nice bluesy/light rock mix that she does so well, plus a few Celtic songs that encouraged everyone to get up and dance a jig!

We had a Boxers on Bowie Beach theme with DJ Isobela. It was boxer shorts, not prizefighters; I guess I'll have to be more specific in my notices in the future. Isobela and I wore matching boxers and Case was very jealous, he mentioned them a few times during the evening.

Friendly Fire followed on Bowie Beach with the dynamic duo still tearing up the Metaverse with their enthusiasm and talent. We heard the Monster Mash again and Jud stopped by and called us all "SILLY PEOPLE!!". There was a huge crowd that I was busy greeting, tagging and bagging while on double poofer duty. The Train Wreck was "Your Mama Don't Dance and Your Daddy Don't Rock and Roll", brought to us as always by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures by Mack.

The DJ Hy and mikki show followed with Nakey Friday. As usual mikki jumped he gun a little, but absolutely no one was complaining! After the show had gotten started and people were partaking Sedona mentioned that her perv cam is requiring liquid cooling!

On Saturday morning Miyam invited me to come see the marketplace she was building with Adrian, Joce and a few other people, called the "Fjordsguilden Market". It specializes in medieval stuff and already has a few vendors set up and selling. They are doing a real good job with it, and will likely have a show with a DJ or two for their grand opening.

I worked more on my Flying Double Dance Disc. I had previously been calling it a dance pad, but mikki explained to me the errors of my ways; at least as far as disc vs. pad is concerned. I'm pretty much done with it; the Disc is done, the Vendor is ready and tested, I just need to polish the instruction sheet and find some places to put it out for sale.

Isobela and I went to the On A Roll store to play; the game at the Shack is just so slow and buggy. When we got there the On A Roll table was broken so we played a few rounds of GreedyGreedy which I won 3-2. A lady came by and fixed the On A Roll table while we were playing GreedyGreedy so we played that next. Isobela won the first two games, but I couldn't come back and win 3 out of 5 because another couple was waiting for the table so we let them play. And I am still a cheating rat's ass.

Saturday night was the DJ Jocelyn and Britt show at the GlamShack. The gigantic penis was gone; I guess no one had wanted to offend Joce's sensibilities. That was a shame because Isobela had gotten used to taking naps on it in the afternoon. Jocelyn had a pressing engagement right after the scheduled end of the show and she had to leave even though there were still plenty of people in the Shack. Britt stayed with us a while and we danced to the radio.

Before too long the siren's call of On A Roll got to us again so we headed back to the store to play. I was ble to win 2-0, to bring our daily total up to 2-2, but that second game was very close. Woot! Wings!

With the holiday on Monday I was able to listen to DJ Isobela at the Wanderlust World Music Club on Electrum. We were dancing all sorts of dances instead of our usual one or two. I was in the running for the contest they had there, and had a 50/50 shot at winning, but the board malfunctioned right at the end. Oh well.

From there we went to Jacaranda where there had a DJ and a Best in Wings contest going on. It was pretty cool with everyone wearing wings and nothing else. There was another contest board malfunction, though this time I really didn't have too much of a chance of winning. They were talking about another event next Monday; unfortunately I'll probably be at work.

Later we went home and worked on jewelry-making projects that we both had been thinking of. They are turning out really well; we're talking about seeing if we can sell some of them. I'd also started looking into the mechanics of what I'll need to sell my Flying Double Dance Pads.

After dinner we went and played Greedy Greedy at store where they are sold. Isobela beat me three games to one! Next we played On A Roll there. The game played really fast in the store, you only had to click on Pass twice to pass instead of fifty times. This meant that Isobela could cheat at 10x speed!

I scored 3 Yahtzees in the second game, two of them in a row! Apparently this means that I am a cheating rat's ass. Even so, she still won that game, and won the series two games to one. We played one more game of Greedy Greedy which I won, so I was able to go away with a little bit of my pride intact. What a wonderful day.

Glam me a Shack! No, Really!

Friendly Fire played their usual Thursday night gig at Club Casa Blanco. It was the start of an incredibly busy weekend for me, what with the church and school fair I didn't arrive until about halfway through. Isobela was there dancing with Jazno, who was dancing like girl. He really needs to spring for some lessons.

Afterwards we started a game of On A Roll, but then quit so we could play against Mack and Promise. We kicked their butts 3-0, though Isobela carried most of our load. We played another game with just the two of us that I won 3-1, and then danced a bit to close down the GlamShack.

Though it was late we still had a bit of life left in us so we headed over to Mambo Extreme. They don't have as much shopping there as I remember, but have a great dance floor along the beach. We danced the night away, or at least what was left of it

Friday was the day the GlamShack was reduced to rubble by the giant space ants. It was very scary, almost everything was just gone. Isobela and Mack started a crash program to set it back up for the shows that evening and were able to get the bare bones set up for a beach show. All in all they did a very good job with the time that they had.

After working I was able to make the last little bit of Friendly Fire and was there for DJ Hy's show. My friend Cay was there with his pregnant wife. She's gotten a little self-conscious since she's been with baby, and he's been supporting her. Hopefully after the baby things will get back to normal. Isobela and I closed the place down, and amazingly didn't play OAR even once!

On Saturday morning before work I helped Isobela putting the GOAT back together. I had a little oopsie; I kinda accidentally nudged the GOAT stage and knocked it a few meter off kilter. Isobela was able to get it back without too much trouble, though. She just added the debt to the already long list that I owe her.

Sunday morning saw me at the Blarney Stone. As usual there was good conversation and good people. Tarogue was there, he had one of Ajay's "Cthulhu in '08" thingamabobs on. After while the crowd wandered over to the new Fibber's to listen to the "Professor"a decent singer/guitarist. I bopped along too and jammed out with them. Ginger was there hosting; hadn't seen her in quite a while.

The Saints (3-3) won 34-3 over the Raiders. It was a quite satisfactory whooping after last week's loss and yesterday's shellacking of the Tigers. We won't say who's home town the Raiders play for so as not to make Isobela feel bad. I had to work through the game, and missed watching it with her. When I got off of work we and played On A Roll,which is almost as good. She won 2 out of 3; 1-3, 3-2 and 1-3. Life is good.

The Saints (2-3) were on Monday Night Football so guess what the On A Roll addict and I did while we watched the game. She was up 2-1 at one point, but I came back for the win. Unfortunately the Saints weren't able to do the same.

Tuesday night was Borealis' first time hosting for DJ Isobela at the Savoy. She played some really good music featuring The Nimmo Bros Live at Glasgow, Scotland; the overall theme of the show was UK Blues. mikki was there helping to train Borealis but the Savoy is a difficult place to learn to host; most people just want to slow dance and listen to music. Elisabeth had stopped by; Squiffy and Hy were on guitar and bass and Raven joined them on piano later.

I was able to catch the last half of the Friendly Fire show at Demonic on Wednesday. It was superb as usual. Demonic is actually a pretty cool place, not only because of all of the demons but it is also architecturally interesting. I spent some of the show time looking around to see what ideas I cold borrow for our next rebuild(s).

After the show I talked with Isobela about searching for missing objects. She is convinced we have lots of hidden stuff scattered about our property. She is likely right, but I don't think the problem is as big as she seems to think it is. As soon as I get a chance though I'll need to go on a prim safari, because it is a problem.

We didn't go hunting right then because we had to get ready for her show at the GlamShack. DJ King and mikki had started their show an hour early, so they were ready for a break by the time that we showed up. The crowd was light, but our hump-day hijinxs were in full swing. All too soon it was time for DJ Donagh and AuroraDawn to take over. That horny Troll and Amanda had shown up, and Gussie stopped by too! Woot!

We changed into formals in the Shack and went straight to Topanga Canyon where Heath was doing a two year anniversary performance. The Canyon really isn't much as a venue, but apparently it was where Heath did his first show so it is special to all of us. We danced and chatted and had a simply marvelous time listening to his music.

I had a chance to work on a new project today, a sort of circular couch thing that goes in the water. It's kinda hard to explain, I'll post a pic if I ever come close to finishing it. We had seen something similar near the Kaiya Islands beach, but I am making numerous improvements to it. As usual getting the finished surfaces looking good will be the hardest part.

Before too long I had to get cleaned up for mikki and loVolt's wedding. They had a wonderful ceremony in a poppy field high in the sky. They recited their own vows to each other, and to us. I was very impressed with both of them; Isobela was too.

mikki had a permasmile, and it wasn't just from all of the pictures we took. DJ Cat played the reception, which oddly enough was clothed. We all had a great time; there were great songs, great dancing and great friends. Well, after Cay had to leave Dee and Meggie had a little disagreement over who was going to lead, but I think that was more for fun than anything else.

As the reception was winding down Hy and Tracy challenged us to a game of On A Roll. Of course we took them up on the offer, and of course they cheated. Tracy hit the "Owner mode" button so we couldn't get a decent roll to save our souls, but were able to score two runs to finish at 3-2 nonetheless.

After dinner we worked on building some more, me on my sea couch and Isobela on a couple of different projects. I was able to pretty much finish the sea couch, it turned out pretty good. The cushions could use a bit more work, but I don't think the results would justify the cost.

After getting cleaned up yet again (Wow! Twice in one day!) we headed over to Club Neptune in Angel Shark Shallows to hear Heath play. He was as peaceful, calming, therapeutic and rejuvenating as always. Life is good.

Longest Roll

Saturday morning we went and saw Hy's new house, or at least a full-scale model of it. I like it alot, but he said it was done in 'early mausoleum' style. I can kinda see that, but there is alot of work left to be done on it. There's lots of water, Isobela had been helping him fill all of the pools.

Later that day I went to the Boobie Ball in Winterfell at the Taure En Lor Ballroom. It is a fund raiser for breast cancer; their tag line said "Wear pink if you like, and you may dance topless if you dare, in honor of the breasts and lives we are working to save." Most of the ladies were in pink formal wear, there was a DJ present and it was a very nice party.

The afternoon heralded the Open Mic show at the GOAT. mikki, Dee and Isobela did their usual outstanding job of lining up talent and otherwise organizing the event. We heard AJ, Artel, Skylord, Mica and REALLY. While we were there a situation came up and Isobela took up the ob as hostess for DJ Arcadian, who played in the GlamShack immediately after Open Mic. Since she was working we didn't drag the On A Roll table into the shack and play while he was DJing, but we had an incredibly fun time nonetheless.

DJ Jocelyn and hostess Meggie followed Arc. Jocelyn got slimed by one of the ghosts inhabiting the shack this month, but she had done up an excellent playlist nonetheless. After so many hours at the GOAT and with Arc we were kinda burnt out from clubbing, so we slipped outside to the game table.

It turned out to be the longest 2-person game ever. Isobela kept distracted me with all sorts of talk about robots and such. We ended up closing down the GlamShack, and still kept playing. In the end she won 3-2, but the game could have been won by either of us for hours ahead of that. Another wonderful day.

A Super Slide!

Wednesday night DJ Isobela was spinning Classic Rock at the GlamShack, sandwiched between Dj King and mikki with a Cops and Robbers theme and DJ Don and merry with a Southern Rock beat. Squiffy was there trying out for the lead guitarist position in Friendly Fire, but then Mack changed her mind and decided that the position wasn't open after all.

Isobela worked on our new open-air grotto the next day while I messed around with a skeet shooting game that I had bought. I began practicing with it, and am starting to learn it's tricks. Isobela is very good at shotting stuff up so I'm a little concerned about playing it with her; she'll likely kick my butt and then tease me mercilessly about it.

Later we decided to go play On A Roll. I had been dominating the game throughout and was up by 2-0 when she gets 2 runs in a row, then a third a few play later to win! What luck! We played a second game so that I could try to regain a shred of my dignity; I was able to win that one 3-1. Of course this led to a tie-breaker in which I was able to squeak by 3-2 to win the tournament.

After that we went to Kaiya Islands for some exploring of their new areas, including their zoo. We found a good spot for dancing near the pool and danced and chatted through many songs. We relaxed in a hammock swing for a short bit, just to try it out, then called it a night.

Shocking swimwear and ravenous Rock was the order of the day on Friday as DJ Isobela took the GlamShack's Bowie Beach by storm! She's an excellent way to start the Friday Slide into the Weekend party. I had put a few of my flying double-dance pads out, people seemed to either love them or hate them, and the latter were a minority thank goodness. I'm still working on plans to sell them.

Friendly Fire continued the Bash on Bowie Beach when DJ Isobela was done. They had just gotten back from a standing-room only show at the Bushy Beard and were ready to Rock. The Friday Night Train Wreck was brought to us by Fairplay Designs and Arts as usual (they have their Halloween stock out now) and by Gestures By Mack; it was a stirring rendition of Crimson and Clover sung by Mack. Mack and Case also sang Pr0nography, which I hadn't heard in a while, but not I Love This Song.

mikki had started way early for Naked/Nekkid/Nakie/Nakey Friday, during DJ Isobela's show as a matter of fact. LexiMae didn't realize Friendly Fire played for nakey nights, but she joined right in! Jud stopped by and greeted us all with "Hello silly people." At 20:30 there were 20 people on the beach, none of them wearing anything but a smile! Life is good.

Monday night was a GlamShack night. We listened to the DJ Ando and AuroraDawn show, the DJ Case and Ajay show, and then the DJ Zak and Promise show. Extraordinary show people all. While there we sat an chatted in our chairs for a long time, then went and played On A Roll where I barely beat Isobela by the skin of my teeth 3-0.

Later we went on another building spree. I took out the Romanesque bath and built up the ground to form a small earthen amphitheater to compliment Isobela's larger rock one. She put a nice waterfall at one end of it that makes a nice pool in the middle. We may be able to fit her mermaid statue in there as well.

Tuesday was Isobela's Birthday. She had said she didn't want a party, so as much as she deserved one we had a mostly quiet evening. I had bought a nice pair of boots for her, one of the fancy kind with alligator skin that can change color on command. Of course, being Isobela, she immediately made them black.

After putting on the boots and admiring them at length we went cruising the metaverse. We ended up in a place called Therapy. It wasn't the Club Therapy that we used to enjoy so much but rather a cool, lightly wooded island. There were meandering paths through the trees, a walkway along cliffs that overlooking the sea and a neat cave with a dining room table in it. I went up a mountain that I saw a flag on top of; the island was claimed for Britain, and when I came back down Isobela had found this cool tree house with a balcony overlooking the sea. We watched the sunset then went in to the dance floor and danced and chatted for hours.

Eventually the siren's call of On A Roll got to us both so we headed back to the GlamShack. DJ Cat was playing but we were moistly concentrating on the game. Cat had set up a couple of skydiving platforms for people to use and they seemed to be having fun with it.

We caught some snippets of conversation over the music and they seemed to be saying that there was some naked skydiving going on! Isobela immediately started moving the game table closer to them so she could watch; it was very hard to put down a chip when the table kept jerking over 3 feet at a time. When we got around front of the GlamShack they were still talking nakey but I didn't see any flapping body parts. False alarm.

It had gotten very late so we agreed to a quick game of On A Roll; the first person to score would win. Isobela's all defense all the time strategy paid off for her this time; in blocking a possible run of mine she happened to get 5 in a row and win the game. All in all a wonderful day. Many more, babe.

Sidewindah!

DJ Isobela led our Friday Slide into the Weekend party at the GlamShack as usual. There was a country singer there before her show, one of the people from a previous Open Mic event. Since he had set up out front we kept things rolling there and had a Swimsuit Party on Bowie Beach. The crowds for her shows just keep getting better and better; I wonder if the pizza and beer we had out made a difference? We had ordered Pepperoni - Isobela's Favorite!

Friendly Fire had a magnificent Friday Slide show. Case said that in the spirit of the Friday Slide that he would not be debating Mack, putting the GlamShack before Politics. What a man! The Train Wreck was dedicated to Isobela, Stevie Ray Vaughan's Living Life by the Drop. It was brought to us, as usual, by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures by Mack.

DJ Hy completed Friday's ruling triumvirate with his Nakey Friday show. The crowds keep getting better and better for this show even though we do lose some shy ones immediately after Mack and Case finish. That's too bad for them, though; we have such a great time every Friday night. Towards the end there were 12 people with 4 thongs among them; well, ok, 3 thongs and what looked like Sponge-Bob Square-Pants boxers one Someone!

The night ended on a sad note however, Mack's boat caught fire! She apparently docked it too close to the campfire and a flying spark must have gotten to all the alcohol she keeps in there. There was nothing lift but a pile of ashes on the sand.

Bright and early Saturday morning I realized that I needed to find out who Mack's insurance agent is; they had delivered a replacement boat for her already! It looked exactly the same! Now that is service.

Isobela and I spent much of the day working on Elfie Island. The giant caves just weren't doing it for us so we got rid of them and built a cool rock amphitheater. I also set out a Romanesque bath, but I'm not sure it goes with the overall decor. It's still very much a work in progress.

We got cleaned up and headed over to the GOAT for Open Mic night. It really was in the afternoon, but Open Mic afternoon just doesn't roll off of the tongue. There was a very talented crowd, more so that I am used to seeing. There were some technical difficulties, both with GOAT equipment and that of the artists, but overall it was a very nice time.

It was AJ's first time at the GOAT. He was especially glad to see the outhouse there; he mentioned that he's had to use the can for over a year. We also had a special visit by Sidewinder Linden! Isobela said it's the second time that she's seen a Linden at the GOAT. Mikki thought Sidewinder was coming after her for over-spamming group notices and IMs, a logical assumption, but not this time.

DJ Arcadian played in the GlamShack after we were finished at the GOAT. Isobela, mikki and I creamed Hy, Tracy and Mack at On A Roll; we had moved the game table inside for Arc's show and that worked well. DJ Jocelyn was up after DJ Arc so we danced to her tunes for a bit, she had a couple of new ones that were a gas.

Before too long Isobela had to leave for work so I followed her to FreeStar Bay where she was officering for Friendly Fire. It was one of the half-hour gigs that FreeStar often puts on with one performer after another playing to a tightly-packed throng. I'm always amazed at how much music Mack and Case can pack in to half an hour!

Someone had moved the On A Roll table back outside the GlamShack so Isobela and I sat down for a quick game. With lots of people the games tend to take very long, but with two people they are usually quick. Usually. This one turned in to a marathon game; Mack and Hy were waiting for us to finish so they could play but we just kept going and going. I finally won 3-1, but it was actually much closer than that. Each side was one roll away from winning for much of the game.

Sunday morning saw a GlamShack partners meeting. I sure wish they wouldn't schedule them during Saints (2-2) games, but they did ask first so it's my own fault. We met in our rock amphitheater even though it was far from finished. Isobela set out some chairs and I drug over a table for the leftover pizza from Friday night. Plus of course a keg. We talked about all sorts of things; I think Case is noticing beer missing from his private stock in the GlamShack cellars so I'll have to back off my nightly raids for a while.

We left from the meeting and went straight to DJ Isobela's gig at Burning Life! The Fantabulous one rocked the playa at Munchies for Ice Cream Sunday! Blissie was passing out Divinity French Vanilla with Hot Fudge sundaes; they go very well with beer! I was kind of an impromptu host and tried to dress the part for Burning Life. BigD had on a lovely long blue formal dress but I was not nearly as well covered.

There was a singer up ahead of DJ Isobela, and Friendly Fire played after her. The Playa was packed but it seems that there's always room for one or two more Glam Rockers wherever they play. We had a stupendous time, but it left me with some rather unusual tan lines. Well worth it, though.

Later we went shopping for some jeans then played On A Roll. I won the first game 3-1 and then lost the second one 2-3! It was the first solo win ever for Isobela! I am so proud of her, even though she got very lucky with THREE yahtzees and cheated blatantly. She marked this day on her calendar with very big stars.

When she was done celebrating she worked on capital improvements to the GlamShack while I worked on a new dance gadget. It turned out pretty good; Isobela, mikki and Mack all helped me test it out. They say I should market it, and I probably should, but that will be a major pain. Still, the extra money would be nice. I'll need to do some more testing with various dances and make sure I set permissions correctly, but that shouldn't be hard just time-consuming.

The next question is when to have it's first public showing. It would be perfect for Friday nights, but then again it would be perfect for almost any night at the GlamShack. I'll probably try and hold off until Wednesday night but ya never know. In this wild and wacky world we live in surprise is a daily blessing.

Rolling On

We played On A Roll this afternoon on the GlamShack docks. I started off the game with a yahtzee, and had gotten another one during the game, but even so it was a close, hard-fought match. I ended up winning three to one.

While we were playing DJ Crighton's show had started. There wasn't much of a crowd at first so we (I) moved the On A Roll game table inside. This immediately attracted a crowd. Mack came over and sat down in my seat, so once I had the table aligned I hit the reset button and popped her up and sat down there myself.

Case didn't want to make a fourth with us, and Elysian couldn't stay long, but Promise showed up and immediately was game. It was Isobela and Promise against Mack and I. This game started slower, I didn't get a yahtzee until midway through. Mack is a killer On A Roll player, and even though our opponents were no slouches themselves we were able to run the table three to naught.

Afterwards Isobela and I were able to get some dancing in. DJ Crighton's show finished so he turned the radio on for us before he left. We closed the GlamShack down, dancing and talking and looking forward to what the next evening might bring.

Schoolgirls and their poor Teachers

It was Schoolgirls and Teachers theme night at the GlamShack with DJ Isobela. Oddly enough, no one was checking IDs; pretty slip-shod management if you ask me. Some of those girls seemed very young and they were running amok! Kissing all the posters on the walls, grinding against them, and all sorts of things. DJ King, who played before Isobela, didn't have a theme; and neither did DJ Donagh who played after. Wise men.

My friend Fetzer, whom I met through Case, was there and rocking out. Word is that he will be DJing at the GlamShack sometime soon. That would be pretty cool; we're always looking for bright new talent. That's why we have the GOAT Goddesses running Open Mic Night on Saturdays.

I heard some people complaining the other day, I'm not sure if they were serious or not, about the number of group notices that go out to the GlamShack group. I got to thinking about it and decided that the reason there is so many notices is that we do so many shows. Three back-to-back on Wednesday and again on Friday. Oh yeah, I like Fridays. It's Friday Eve today. Life is good.

Slow at the Savoy

I couldn't make it to the Savoy for the start of DJ Isobela's show but Borealis kept her company, what a gentleman. When I arrived I played my Saxaphone for just a few minutes, joining Melon on bass and His Hyness on piano. Borealis called me down to take his place so then I danced with Isobela, slow, for the rest of the evening. Life is good.

Congratulations AC and Emedea!

AC and Emedea were wed today at Boston Light Lighthouse in a beautiful ceremony. It was a standing-room only crowd, though Isobela and I were able to get the last two seats in the back row on the groom's side. There was a reception afterwards at Pinky's Cherry Pie Palace, a quite good place despite the name. Gwen was impromptu DJ, her first time DJing a wedding, and did quite a good job.

Other than that we were busy excavating caves and guiding spring water into cascading waterfalls. I also build a small, cobblestone dance floor. We're still in the early stages of work, but I think it's gonna be cool. Another wonderful day.

Rejuvenation

We had the very first game day at the GlamShack. Mack had become addicted to On A Roll so she had the idea to have that game, plus Greedy Greedy and SLopoly out on the grounds of the Shack on a Sunday afternoon for everyone to play. It drew a decent sized crowd though they all crowded around the On A Roll table.

The first game we ended up having all 8 seats filled. Isobela and I played on one team and got our butts kicked. The dice just didn't roll our way; the other team had two runs and were one roll away from a third in a couple of places before we made our first one. The game lasted over two and a half hours; eight-person games take longer than others but that was exceptional.

Most everyone was worn out by then and headed out, but Isobela and I stayed to play Greedy Greedy with Don and mikki. It was much more fast-paced and fun. Don and I were taking the lead from each other, back and forth the whole game, but he was the first to reach 10,000 points. The rest of us had one more turn to try and beat his score, but none of us did. It was a very good game.

Later on we decided to level Elfie Island and bring in some mountains. The idea was to dig all sorts of tunnels and caves throughout the mountains to replace the dance pavilion and other areas. Since the aquifier is close to the surface in Bowie we expect to have a number of waterfalls, both on the outside of the mountains and in the caves.

We stopped our terraforming work, got cleaned up and dressed up and headed over to Angel Shark Shallows at 7 to listen to Heath. It was his regular Sunday show at Club Neptune, his first regular show since losing power to Ike for over a week. His solo and instrumental-backed piano is simply amazing. Rejuvenating of mind, body, spirit and soul. Life is grand.

Ajay had sent out word that a Friendly Fire show was scheduled at the last minute, and asked for any officers that could make it to help out. Friendly Fire officers being the great group that they are, just about everyone showed up! "If anyone would like a Friendly Fire group invite or Swag bag please IM Isobela or Dee or Promise or Rosinante or Ajay or I!" Dee got so excited she started having Multiple Hoogasms! I had double-poofer duty despite all of the other officers being there; but hey that's my job. It had been way too long since I had heard I love This Song.

The occasion was a chance for Mack and Case to play Fluffy Friday at Club CasaBlanco! It looks like that may become a regular gig; they are excellent Fluffers! We were treated to a very good show, but Mack had one slight problem. I hate to dwell on negatives, but she gave strict instructions that "So from now on, a bonehead move will be called 'pulling a Mack'," and I felt it important to pass on that requirement.

Soon after getting back from Fluffy's it was time to head over to the GlamShack to prepare for the night's festivities. DJ Isobela was presenting Bikinis and Boots on Bowie Beach! Bikini tops were optional for the guys; in fact, I don't recall seeing even one. She had an excellent playlist prepared, and did an excelent job of getting the crowd warmed up for Friendly Fire.

Case sang his pink thong song, that is always a hit. I was also ably to enjoy I love This Song for the second time in a day! The Train Wreck song was Why Don't We Do It In The Road; dedicated, for some odd reason, to Isobela. As usual the Train Wreck was sponsored by Fairplay Design and Arts and by Gestures by Mack. How two such reputable firms became associated with this practice is a mystery to us all.

DJ Hy and hostess mikki put on their usual fantastic Nakey Friday show. Be proud of your pixels! We rocked the night away to a slightly larger and more open crowd than usual. Twenty-six people were there, for the most part wearing just smiles. The big news of the night was that Borealis and Gossamer decided to couple, to become partners! Woot! Best of wishes to the Lucky Couple!

On Saturday Isobela and I visited a Haunted Castle. They had a totally amazing maze in the basement, a werewolf lair in the upper turrets, and a cool gothic ballroom in between. There was no one else there, but it did look like a wild place for a party. There were a number of tables along one wall with no chairs around them; we couldn't decide if they were for dancing or serving body-part snack-trays!

Later we went exploring on Boojum Island. Isobela discovered a hidden underground lair; there was even a treasure chest with gold doubloons down there! The only exit was through am underwater tunnel that had a shark guarding the far end, but we were able to slip past him while his back was turned. On the far side of the pirate ship we tried some underwater fencing; of course I won the game 5 touches to 2. It was pretty fun, I'll have to see about getting it for the GlamShack.

Speaking of which, we went back and helped to arrange things for the game party tomorrow afternoon. We did some terraforming on Elfie Island and under the surrounding waters moved the dock and pulled the Tester over to it. Isobela planted some incredibly lovely trees there and at the GOAT, too. Hy fixed a problem that we had discovered with the gaming tables, but I'm still not completely satisfied. I'll have to try and catch him and Mack tomorrow which will be, as today, another wonderful day.

Angels and Demons was the theme at the GlamShack last night. DJ King and hostess mikki started us off with a truly fantastic show; they just keep getting better and better. King was a nightmare and mikki was, as usual, purely angelic. I arrived near the end of their show to learn that Dee and Cay had run off and gotten married! They were still all dressed up and everything! Congratulations you two!

DJ Isobela was up next and had gone through Heaven and Hell to put together a Fantabulous Hump-Day Angels and Demons show for us. It was interesting to see who thought that they have been naughty or nice. I was busy hosting so I didn't get a chance to get any rebuttals in.

Dee and Cay stayed there dancing all night. Most of the time they seemed to be whispering sweet nothings into each other's ears, but occasionally they would join in the group chat. Dee kept telling us how she was having Multiple Hoogasms! mikki teased Isobela about her angel costume, and curm appropriately gave me a hard time as well. We looked at some building tools on Monday; they were kinda expensive and we figured we could do just as well ourselves. Now I just need to search through my inventory for my SL4. In the meantime Isobela brought up a volcano from the sea floor near our house, it is spilling lava all over the place! I tried to help her with the smoke that is coming out of it. When the wind blows from the west the smoke goes all over our patio; I hope she is able to move it soon. It was very cool just lounging around on a raft all evening, building and scripting side by side.

DJ Isobela played her usual Fantabulous Tuesday gig at The Savoy! It was a relaxing evening of the best blues and even better dance partners. I pseudo-hosted, did most of the duties of a host but didn't wear my name tag. When working up the group notices Isobela instructed me to include the phrase "copious amounts of frosting and romance." I have no idea what this means; it will likely take months to figure out. The music sure was grand, though.

DJ Cat usually plays at the GlamShack during the same time slot, but she sent out notice that her show would be later so I sent some group chat letting people know they could make DJ Isobela's show at 6 and still make it to Cat's at 8, but it didn't seem like there were any takers. DJ Cat and her hostess had a bikini roller-skating party planned, how cool is that? I talked it over with Isobela and we figured we'd have our own copycat bikini roller-skating in a few months, after people will have forgotten whose idea it originally was. We will add a special twist, though. A dangerous one. You'll have to wait and see.

The Burning Life is fast approaching; Isobela was invited to DJ a show at Munchies there. Friendly Fire, Cat and Tali will likely have events too. Isobela has kept going on about how the DJ thing is a lot of fun and she has a gas doing it; somehow she has gotten the crazy idea that it would be cool if we cold DJ together, both being on mic at the same time. I'm not too sure this is even technically feasible; VLB does something somewhat similar, but they may have specialized hardware to support it or something like that. I'm not too sure that I want to be a DJ anyway. Isobela is doing some research into it, so we'll see.

Saturday afternoon we went sailing in USS waters, which I believe stands for United Sailing Syndicate. It's a huge place dedicated to sailing and people who love the water. I was able to launch the Tester OK, but the waters were very rough; things kept crashing. So we chatted with another sailor for a while, then headed in.

Back home we tried out the AirBoat zipping around the Shack, but it was having troubles with rough waters, too. I guess it just wasn't the day for sailing. I went to see Hy and Tracy, but they weren't around. I like their home's new look, though.

On Sunday Gestures by our very own Mack celebrated it's One-Year Anniversary! They still have that Smiley-face griefing going on; I wish I knew who was in charge of Security at that place! Oh, wait; never mind. Mack and Case played a half-plugged show in the store, it was just like old times; Isobela and I closed the place down dancing, just like old times as well.

Isobela had won a prize from the Prize Robot who had made the trek all the way there from the GlamShack! He had to have walked underwater at some point; I'll have to run a full diagnostics suite and re-greasing on him when he gets back.

Later we played On a Roll with Mack and Promise at the GlamShack. It was Promise's first time playing, and Mack set a very bad example for her by cheating left and right. Mack got at least 3 Yahtzees! By her own admission! So of course they won, but it was good that Promise won on her first game. It is a very fun thing.

After our humiliating defeat Isobela and I took the AirBoat out to the USS waters and flew it around all over the place. We were out for over an hour; I hurt my hand from the vibration in the control stick rattling it around. We also stopped by this way cool Coast Guard station, but no one was home.

We also took the Seaplane Glider out for a bit; that hurt hand even more, but it was worth it. We blew blue smoke all over the place.

That evening the Metaverse's favorite glam rock politi-pop power punk showband is appeared at Nightclub Echo Echo, the Metaverse's Premier Rock Club! Mack and Case are brought us a high-energy, high-humor and high-fashion extravaganza! Well, maybe not that high of a fashion; as a matter of fact they both wore red shirts. We talked a little about making it a red shirt theme night, but I wasn't comfortable making a last minute change so we put off the planning until later. It would be cool to do theme nights or even contests at their regular gigs every once in a while.

I was able to love I LOVE THIS SONG for the second time that day; how awesome! I'm a little worried about Rosi though, she kept speaking in this falsetto, calling peoples names, mine especially; it's somewhat disconcerting. It's almost like I'm hearing voices again. She also said that she was going to stay away on Fridays; I just don't know what's wrong with her.

Sunday Night Mayhem and Madness featured the incomparable DJ Jocelyn with Hostess Britt. Hare showed up, been quite a while since I saw her; too long even. It was Rosie's Rez Day, she had gotten there too late for Mack & Case to sing to her. She had gotten me a wonderful bracelet for my birthday, I wear it often; I felt just awful I didn't get her anything and that I didn't even realize it was her Res Day until Joce announced it. I shall have to figure out how to rectify this.

After a bit of clubbing we played On a Roll with Melon and Kingofbeers. It was their first time playing, too. Despite my dead weight, Isobela was able to eek out a win for us. That is a cool game. We had a great weekend and are looking forward to an even better week. Life is good.

Mack had asked me to work on a script for her; I think she is more dangerous that Isobela with a script editor. I was able to do that, but the scripting job I was going to do for that jewelry shop fell through; the person who wanted a script made got it from a friend. It was fun researching for the script and creating the test piece of jewelry that I used, so it was fun.

Isobela and I visited that Lost Island that I had found; it was very cool. It had the best volcano I've ever seen , well besides Isobela's of course. We must have spent half an hour just looking at it. Later we went out to dinner at the Lost Ballroom. We had a hard time getting there, but it was worth the trouble.

After dinner we chatted over champagne for a bit and then went dancing. We even learned a new dance, SlowDance V8!

From there we went to John's beach housefor Brooke's birthday party. Brooke has always been good at helping us celebrate everyone else's special days, it was good to celebrate with her! DJ John played for a while, and Mack and Case were going to play, but I had to leave the party early; I had to get up for work in just a few hours. I'm sure they were great, and Brooke's bottom received it's just desserts!

The Friday Slide into the Weekend party started as usual with DJ Isobela rocking the GlamShack! She played a mixture of Classic Rock and Fantabulous Rock, my favorite! Friendly Fire played to a very large crowd, including Woke up in a thong! That is getting to be a Friday regular, plus they played I Love This Song! I had double poofer duty, but on fun and frolic Friday that really isn't a chore.

DJ Hy followed Mack and Case, his show was to be a Happy Rez-Day party for Ginger in addition to being Nakie Friday. Miki had made a delicious cake and decorated the Shack for her, but she had to work late. She eventually showed up and partied with us; it seemed to be a good de-stressing for her.

A usual on Nakie Fridays things started kinda slow; about six of us stripped down right off but many others needed a little time to get comfortable with it. There were others that showed up a little late and were throwing off pieces of clothes as they walked in! Towards the end there were many more naked people than not at the show.

There was lots of chat about Mikki and loVolt, Dee and Cay's recent partnerings, and how Isobela and I had just celebrated our one-year anniversary of meeting. There were lots of requests for lovey-dovey type songs, and all that romantical stuff must have gotten to Brooke and Clovis because they went and partnered right there at the Shack! Woot!

Ajay browbeat me into starting this blog one year ago today. This is my 357th post; not quite one-a-day but close. Some days I found I had to push myself to post; I think I'll stop doing that. So while I may not be posting every day, I'll still be around. Today is also the first anniversary of Isobela and I meeting in Fibber's; according to her at least. To me it seems like several wonderful lifetimes.

DJ Isobela Wooed the Mer-Folk at the GlamShack today! I spent quite a long time looking for appropriate tattoos for the event, to no avail; but I was quite proud of my tail! DJ King and mikki had the show before Isobela, and DJ Donagh followed. We were honored to have Mermaid Princess Nephrodite there! The Prize Robot gave her some shoe gift certificates, so she said "Great! Now all I need is feet!"

I had hoped to see some seahorses there, but no one brought any; I may have to go looking in mer-folk stores myself. Tracy had a very cool, patriotic tail that she wore towards the end of the show. I don't think Hy has a tail; at least I didn't see one on him. curm either. Oh well. Life is good.

I chatted with my friend Rexona about doing some programming work for her jewelry shop. It's a nice challenge, stuff that I haven't worked with before. If I can get it working well I might even get paid for it! Woot!

DJ Isobela played some smoking blues at the Savoy. Featured music was by Dave Specter and the Blue Birds. It kinda straddled the line between blues and jazz, simultaneously sophisticated and raunchy, just like a certain DJ. Her giggly hostess was Mikki, dressed to the nines wearing a fantastic top!

Borealis stopped by, Jud and Elisabeth too. We chatted a bit about her Cup of Goodness Coffee shop. Squiffy showed up and got on guitar, with Hy on bass and Mort on the piano. Louis Armstrong finished us all off. What a wonderful world.

We played On A Roll during Case's Rock & Roll Listening Party. It was a pretty good show; Case was taking requests and even sang a reggae song for us! Isobela and I each won one game, then Mack and Tracy joined us for a third but we had to quit before we were done. Isobela and I were in the lead though; so I am counting it as a major thrashing. Today I worked on our security system some more. It requires constant tweaking since Isobela knows everyone in the Metaverse; I am always adding new people to the allowed list. When that was done we enjoyed the Saints whupping the living tar out of the Bucs, 24-20. I wonder what I should have wagered with Ajay? I wonder if I can talk her in to a retroactive bet? In any case, I had set up a big screen on the dock and we watched the game from there.

Just before 1 we went to the Mango Bay Wet Bar and Dance Floor. Billed as the metaverse's newest water sports resort, they had a day of live entertainment with premier Rock & Blues DJ Isobela, the Papp Daddy Dancers with Papp Daddy himself as DJ, and then Top Blues Rocker Noma.

Isobela's cousin Contamina was there, and mikki showed up too. Contamina was one of the Papp Daddy Dancers, they were OK but seemed to be missing some people. Noma was completely awesome! She's another one we gotta get to the GOAT.

Friendly Fire had a surprise show at Rocky Waters. Case tried to send some notices, and Isobela and I were thinking about going to help out out but then it looked like Rosi and Dee took over the show so we stayed put. With the way traffic was there was a good chance that we couldn't have gotten there anyway. Friendly Fire officers are the greatest in the entire Metaverse!

Later on we went to the GlamShack to play On A Roll. I had moved the game table over to Tun Tavern (Forward) to make space for the Open Mic; thankfully someone else had moved it back. That thing is Heavy! I beat Isobela, then Tracy and Hy were sailing by so we invited them to play, but only after Tracy changed the game out of that evil Classic Mode. Hy and Tracy cheated and won a game, and by then it had gotten very late and we couldn't give them the drumming they deserved. But we will, soon.

Open Mic!

I made it to the first Open Mic at the GOAT! mikki and Dee and Isobela are the three Goddesses of the GOAT who put everything together; it looks like it will be a weekly event. Britt warmed it up with some amazing singing. Mica was due up next, but there were horrid traffic problems so Kingofbeers stepped up and played early for us. He DJed a different style of music than he usually plays at the GlamShack on Wednesday nights, quite awesome.

Next up was JaNa who played a very good electronica ambient rhythmic reflective music. It had been a while since I had heard music like that, and I really enjoyed it. Nick99 played acoustic Classic rock tunes of the 60's, 70's and more modern Rock. He plays often at NP so I was familiar with his music. Mica was finally able to get in, he is a good 'ol country boy; singer, songwriter, karaoke DJ and regular DJ extraordinaire! He played guitar and sang for us; he has quite an amazing range of songs he can play!

When the Open Mic was over we went to check on progress at the new NP. They have some small helicopter-type things you can use to get around, so we did our tour in one of them. The market spaces are filling up, rental houses are up and a couple are ready for occupancy, and the stage/theater is looking good. It is very multi-functional; it could accommodate Heath or FF or almost anyone! They put a nice town-square type area in the middle of the shops, it's really looking good. And of course they have a nice beach.

Urban Shopper was having a Re-Grand Opening Event. It had undergone some heavy construction and is now by the Sea! They had associate stores in the area too with sale items and gifts from many different designers.

Topaz Square was having a “Summer End Sidewalk Party/Event” to celebrate its 1st anniversary. There was a L$50-sale with stuff from many designers in the store as well as the booths outside. They also had some games, free food and a funny-picture-taking place set up!

From there we went tattoo shopping, a whirlwind tour of the metaverse's best ink spots. After Isobela had exhausted me with her shopping prowess we headed back home for our normal night-time activities.

Greek Weiner Dancing

DJ Isobela Capalini led the charge for our Friday Slide into the weekend! It was Owners Night as Isobela, Mack, Case and Hy all put on Glamtastic shows. They were all great; the music just seemed to flow seamlessly. Megan stopped by for a bit and greeted us all with "MY FAMILY!!!!!" Isobela volunteered me to make a Friendly Fire Tattoo and a Friendly Fire Flying Beer Coaster, and Case sang the Pink Thong Song.

TGINF was awesome as usual; the first one that we've had inside. There were many more participants early, word seems to be getting around about or Friday celebrations. Tracy kept changing her mind of course, and Viola had a strange tan, almost purple. Nef was there and seemed OK at first, but then turned a deadly shade of gray. I hope he gets to feeling better.

At one point we all had to leave, Hy did something; but most of us came back. Cat led us in a few spankfests and then we tried the Greek line dance, which was immediately nicknamed the Greek Weiner Dance. DJ Hy finally ended 3 hours late, what a trooper!

Friendly Fire's Friday Night Train Wreck was brought to us by Fairplay Designs and Arts and Gestures by Mack; it was "Just What I Needed". That was quite prophetic; that night was just what we needed.

I did my rounds today; Brooke was in her store awful early. She was busy working so I didn't disturb her. I also found a Lost Island; we'll have to go explore that some day. Later Isobela and I went to hear Heath, a true virtuoso. He always has a good show. Another wonderful day in the metaverse.

Swinging!

I finished my rope swing! I hung it from the edge of the house and go splashing through the water with each swing. I tested it for hours!

DJ King and DJ Isobela were having a combined Toga Party with their back-to-back shows. DJ King had mikki hostess for him. I couldn't make it for the show; other business kept me away. mikki graciously agreed to take over hosting duties for me, a double shift! She is such a doll, but if I had known she was hostessing the first show we wouldn't have asked her to do the second.

I was able to make it to the GlamShack right about the time the second show was scheduled to end, but the Fantabulous DJ played late as usual so I was able to enjoy some of her Glamtastic music. It sounds like everyone there had a good time making fun of me while I was gone, too!

Afterwards Isobela and I played On A Roll on the GlamShack docks. I had a very nice time de-stressing after my difficult afternoon; she is such an angel of mercy. She even let me win 3-1.

We started a second game and Isobela was whupping my behind; she had even rolled a Yahtzee! As soon as she did, though, we had to leave the area. Some type of maintenance activity, so the game would be reset. Poor Isobela. We ended up heading to Beurling Bay and I showed her the Cup of Goodness Coffee shop where she bought a poster, the UFO, stage area and lighthouse. We got back to Tidings just as the sun was coming up, signaling the end and start of yet another wonderful day.

I started experimenting with making swings. I did a model of a regular porch swing, then an egg-shaped one. The physics seemed to be working OK, but could be a little better. I have a plan that might fix that, though; will likely take a day or two though. I also started working on a rope swing. I had to interrupt my work because,

DJ Isobela was at the Savoy! It was the perfect night to boogie to the sizzling sounds of DJ Isobela and her red-hot smokin' mix of blues. There was an amazing featured album as usual, and a good crowd showed up. Kimala was able to hostess the show. Poor Isobela keep getting confused with all the changes in her help. She kept calling me her hostess last week; I though she was just teasing until she started calling Kimala her host this week! I need to start looking for help for her.

I received word that NP is moving to a new home; they will have their own entire island! Way cool; I can't wait until they have it finished. One of the people there was talking about a cool place in the Southwest, we asked her about it an apparently it is members-only but Isobela managed to sweet-talk invitations for us. We only had a chance for a brief look-around, but it is way cool. Many small canyons to ride their birch-bark canoes in. I can't wait to go back and check the whole place out. Life is good.

WOWO! Megan is back!!! She could only stay for a little while, but it was so good to talk with her again. Isobela and I have missed her so much. Life is Really good!

DJ Isobela was at the Wanderlust World Music Club doing a show with a Star Trek theme, she had the audacity to wear a red shirt! No one would dance next to her for fear of getting shot; except for me of course. There was a contest for the best costume I won! Hy, Tracy and Downtown tied for second. I think it was my Tricorder that pushed me over the top. And no, I do not mean that my Tricorder interfered with the voting board! The venue tip jar was a robot thing that was floating around and getting in everybody's way, especially Mack's; if she had remembered to charge her phaser before leaving the house I'm sure she would have blasted it.

We have been having troubles with the water slide, but never when I am around. Isobela had a stunningly brilliant troubleshooting idea, so I tried it and of course it worked flawlessly! People should now be able to use the slide whether I am around or not. She really is a good builder, even though you wouldn't believe it based on the small number of prims she has set out at our house.

Later we did some research for a possible GlamShack event next week; this week is the combined Toga party with DJ King. I also received a very nice note from Willa. Friendly Fire Officers are one of the best sets of people in the metaverse!

Hy and Tracy bought an On A Roll game; they set it up at the GlamShack and Hy got to watch Tracy and Mack play. Later in the evening there was a Beach Party at the GlamShack with DJ Zak and new hostess Promise! Well, she was new to hostessing at the GlamShack but has significant hosting experience in other remarkable venues. It turned into a party for Tabbie's birthday, too! The Champagne was flowing and people were dancing and everyone was having a Glamtastic good time.

Cat, Mack, Miyam, Hy and Isobela all called me to say they were hoping the best for me. Thank ya'll very much. I am so blessed to have met so many wonderful people in the Metaverse.

We received news about the DJ contest that Dj Isobela was in; although she beat out 30 others she was not the grand-prize winner. My tarn and I will likely be having a little chat with the judges. Next year she's will be a shoe-in.

Later on I played On A Roll with all of the GlamShack owners at Starbrook's Coffee. Tracy was wearing a Halloween costume that she had found in a treasure hunt. It was such a blast to play such a fun game with such good friends. Isobela, Mack and I won three to one. It was the ultimate in de-stressing. Well, OK; second-best.

((Made it to Memphis

After driving 5 hours from home I was 34 miles away. Yep, less that 7 miles per hour for 5 hours. Both of my legs were cramping up from riding the brakes. Eventually it cleared up and we made decent time; a normally 5 hour trip took just 12.

We stopped for gas and people from the First United Pentacostal Church in Grenada were handing out snacks bags to all of the evacuees. Cookies, crackers, Skittles and a small bottle of water; the daughter got Fresca though! Further on there was a hand-painted sign along the Highway saying that all the Gustav Evacs were being prayed for. Central Mississippi people live their faith.

The storm looks like it is heading in a way that would be better for us; pushing west and slowing wind speed and gaining momentum. I live north of New Orleans; we have no direct threat of storm surge, but gotta worry about wind and rain. I'm in touch with a couple of neighbors who stayed to see how things are going on our street. If we have power we'll be heading back Wednesday morning most likely. But who knows; just gotta wait and see. In the meantime I have my computer set up and we have a pool and cable and a beer store a half-block away and all my wonderful friends. Life is good.))

This morning I passed by the Bistro Olive, a very cool with some amazing art! There is a bar and small stage on the second floor and a dining room on the third. The food was fantastic but the service a little slow. There was a piano in the dining room, and a small balcony with a table for outside dining. Very cool.

Later I met Isobela at the Bewitched Hair and House of Heart end of summer treasure hunt, Pickin Daisey's! We found many cool items, mostly for girls though. It was still a very fun time poking around in all of the corners of all of the stores and the surrounding grounds, calling out to each other whenever we found something. She makes ordinary things so much fun.

That afternoon DJ Isobela was in the finals for the DJ Spin-Off competition at Blueberry Hill. There were six finalists, and Isobela sent her spies to check out the competition. DJ Isobela had a fantastic show, but since there was no one on before her she got off to a somewhat slow start. By the end the entire building was jam-packed and rocking. That was very good for her, but left the DJ who played after her with a head start. The top three gets prizes, and she felt she had a very solid third place based on her spy's reports, but we'll just have to wait and see and hope for the best.

The Thong Song

I rigged up a rope to climb up and down from the house to the Tester's new dock. I didn't really like the ramp setup I had initially placed there; the rope is much cooler but sure makes it hard to haul kegs of beer up to the house!

DJ Isobela was playing the Blues at the Blueberry Hill Dance Hall with Withnail as her host so I stopped by for the show. Ajay and mikki stopped by, too; mikki was trying to get With to sign up for the open mic night, apparently there is one opening left. He was resisiting mightily, so we'll just have to wait and see.

As soon as that show was over it was time to get ready for her show on GlamShack Beach. This was a one-hour show to get things fired up for Friendly Fire. Isobela's cousin Cerulean stopped by, there was a real nice crowd by the top of the hour. The only thing to mar the event was that mikki ran over my foot with her bus, and she said that she did it on purpose!

The Metaverse's favorite glam rock politi-pop power punk show band, Friendly Fire, took Bowie Beach storm. They debuted a new song, The Thong Song, simply fabulous! As Case said, "we're unhealthily obsessed with thongs and chaps at The Glamshack!" Case wore a Long Pink Thong for the song, put pants on real quick afterwards!

As mikki says, TGINF! Thank God It's Naked Friday! DJ Hy too the stage after Friendly Fire ably assisted by his hostess mikki. He played many of the usual songs, including that one about detachable parts. Some of those songs are getting a little long in the tooth, but the rest of his show was absolutely top notch.

The clothes started coming off fairly quickly, and by the end of the show there were eleven people wearing nothing but a smile. My friend Carmelita stopped by right at the end of the show and fit right in. mikki left her bus illegally parked in the bay, but I think Dee was going to borrow it later. It was another great night at the Shack.

Here Be Dragons!

Isobela was experimenting with making jewelry today, and I messed around with it a little bit too. We didn't get much past the stage of fooling around with the micro-miniaturization tools, it looks like it might be pretty neat.

We visited CC Loons Blues Museum and ChrisCloud himself was there at the entryway to greet us; is that cool or what? It is quite an amazing place; I wonder if Hy knows about it? CC even had a dance floor on a dock out over the water.

Later we went on the Treasure Hunt at Bare Rose. The area where the first clue was found was fairly crowded, but thinned out rapidly after that. It was much easier and much more fun doing the hunt as a team. After completing the hunt we ended up with some awesome Dragon, knight and queen costumes.

We were able to make it to Club Casa Blanco for Firendly Fire's last song, and we all know which one what that is! It was just enough to tide us over until tomorrow when they will again bless us with their presence at the GlamShack. http://slurl.com/secondlife/Bowie/67/34/22

From there we went to Buffy's Cove and noticed that they had been doing alot of work to the top part of the island, so we went to check it out. We took a long, swaying rope bridge over to Duke's Cove, and from there a real, working drawbridge to Asmita's Island on the Edge. Asmita's has a super-cool Underwater Art Gallery and Coral Gardens, Isobela noted that it "looks like Missy was here!"

Back at home Isobela was telling me how she, mikki and Dee would be working to get more use out of the GOAT. At CC Loons Blues Museum we saw promotional material for a number of artists that would fit well in a Blues and Jazz festival there. Another ongoing project is an Open mic night for the GOAT; today I think it was mikki who sent the notices out, but likely Dee and Isobela worked on them too. In any case all of the time slots were filled within a few hours! It's such a joy to work on projects around here because the people you're working with want to be there and want to do things like that. Life is good.

Ivy: Good crowd here, usual suspects

Kidd Island had sent out a general notice last night; I hadn't heard from them in a whle so I went to check things out. There has been lots of construction since I was last there; there is an art gallery where the tavern used to be! It's nice enough, but too many textiles for my taste. There is still a thriving shopping area though; that portends well for long-term viability. I'll have to keep a closer eye on them.

Something special happens every Wednesday night at the GlamShack at 6pm. Namely, DJ Isobela takes the stage! We went there early and the show started with a bang because the KingOfBeers was DJing before us. It was so nice to start with a crowd already there. The Prize Robot even showed up and was giving out Shoe Gift Certificates!

The King and Isobela talked and decided that next Wednesday both of their back-to-back shows would have a Toga Party theme! I have a couple of togas, somewhere; I'll have to go look for them. Case had some great news too, the new Thong Song debuts this Friday! Friday really rock at the Shack; I look forward to it all week.

DJ Isobela did her usual fantastic job, giggling on mic just enough to make everyone laugh. She did have trouble distinguishing between hosts and hostesses; perhaps some remedial education is due. Kary stopped by for a bit, she is new here and didn't win a robot prize but I gave her one anyway. Life is good.

A Blissfully Blue Tuesday

I did my full rounds today; I've been slacking off on that. Argus, Panther, ZMAN, JR and a few others were sitting around Journey Island chatting so I joined them for a moment. Argus even had a small gift for me! I also went and visited a fancy shoe store I had read about, I thought they might have boots that Isobela liked. The really like their boots there though. Maybe for her birthday the end of next month.

Isobela discovered a slight bit of valcanic activity right under our bedroom. It's a good thing that we moved the house up on stilts or else it would have gone up in flame like matchsticks! On the other hand, maybe moving the house is what opened up the fissure. Hmmm. I sure hope it doesn't open up further and swallow the entire area!

Tuesday means Blues at the Savoy with the Fantabulous DJ Isobela, she even brought frosting! The band was really rocking with Ajay on piano, curm, Hy and Parker on drums, Squiffy on guitar, harmonica and sax, and Beatrix on bass. My friend Crighton was there, owner of the spectacular Savoy; and Jud stopped it with his usual, heartwarming "Hello family." A simply smashing time was had by all.

Our first entry for best set of notices by a hostess at the GlamShack is from the charming and talented Case: "Oh my god! I let my guard down for a second, and Ajay got the drop on me when I got to the Glamshack for the Listening party! She conked me on the head, put roofies in my beer, and took over the stream! Send help! Send reinforcements! Send lawyers, guns, and money! She's got the stream and SHE'S NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!!"

"Psst, I am being held captive against my will at the Glamshack! Ajay beat me senseless with a sock full of quarters and she's taken over the stream! It's like Snakes On A Plane, but with more violence and a weaker plot! Sure, that doesn't make much sense, but I already told you she beat that out of me! We're gonna need a bigger boat!"

Isobela and I really enjoy it whenever DJ Ajay DJs. She plays the best music; although she complains that she has a limited music selection everything she plays is top-notch. She does need to come up with a better uniform for her hostesses, though.

When she was done we went exploring some; Isobela had found this place called the Giant Maze. It is essentially a giant maze. It was very cool to walk through, they have some intriguing sound effects. The walls were kinda plain, though; I bet they could do a fantastic Halloween theme in there though.

Next we went to DEsign Island. We had intended to go to a clothing store with a similar name but I had pulled up the wrong set of directions. DEsign Island is very cool in it's own right. It's a cube fantasy art kinda place, a "platform for fine arts, architecture and design." There is a club at the bottom of the bay called the Sub Club; I need to figure out how they do those walls that keep out water but let you walk through them. They also have this totally awesome sound/video tunnel, looks transparent from outside but is amazing from inside. Isobela says to listen to Pink Floyd while you are in it; it's that kinda place.

DJ King had started up at the GlamShack after we had left. Isobela and I listened in remotely and he is really good. It looks like he might be leading off for DJ Isobela on Wednesdays 4-6. We finally made it to the DE Designs clothing store, and one other place where we purchased another dance accessory. It may make it's GlamShack debut Wednesday as well. Life is good.

This morning I did some more work on the house; I'm still not completely happy with it. Being up off of the water so far makes for spectacular sunsets, though. I bought a Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB) to get around the property with; it's docked across the pier from the Tester.

Later on we had a GlamShack owners meeting at our new pool. Mack and Case took their Catamaran over; Hy and Tracy flew. We spent the time in secret discussions concerning the location and organization and state of mind that mikki calls "The Glammiest place on earth!"

After the meeting Mack cajoled us into taking a group picture. It took a while, but eventually we got some good shots that Mack will be hanging in the GlamShack. Some kind of way my camera got turned around backwards, here's the shot I got.

One of my taskers from the meeting was to make a new microphone stand for Mack and Case. The ones they had didn't stay lined up on them very well. I was able to make a set much better suited to their wild gyrations whilst up on stage and deliver it to them that afternoon.

They were put in to use that very evening at Nightclub Echo Echo where Friendly Fire was rocking the rocky crags to bring this Glamtastic weekend to a close. I love I Love This Song, and pulled double poofer duty. It was a fantastic show as usual, and DJ Jocelyn and hostess Britt were up next for Sunday Night Mayhem and Madness, but Isobela and I had to leave immediately after the show to attend a wedding!

It was Liz and JR's special day. The wedding was at the Bride's boss's place; they had set up a very nice outdoor chapel for the lucky couple. It was a beautiful, small ceremony for close friends. Afterwards there was a reception at Club Katmandu http://slurl.com/secondlife/Barefoot%20Island/232/107/24 . Isobela and I stayed for hours dancing and chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. Another wonderful day.

Tidings 2

I bought a new lance today; the one I slew the dragon with on Friday was one of those cheap starter lances and I figured it was well time that I invest in a decent one. As soon as I brought it home I had to take it out of the box and play with it of course, and for some reason Isobela got all upset at the dirt my horse Glam tracked into the house!

I went to the United Warriors training facility to practice with my new lance and Glam. There were two types of targets that I could use, one that mimicked a man on a horse and the one that had this itsy-bitsy brass ring hanging by a string that you were supposed to put the tip of the lance through from a galloping horse. It was actually easier than it looked, and I made it into second place on both practice scoring boards.

I had worn this ring jewelry, but not for my finger, last night and it was a big hit with Isobela, so we visited the store I had bought it at. I hadn't remembered exactly where I bought it, but did have the directions so we passed by. Turns out the place is called the Cheerleading Network. Case's picture was on the wall next to the front door as their Customer of the Month! The upstairs area is where I had bought my jewelry, but we didn't see any other of immediate interest.

We chatted and wandered around for a while, then kinda on the spur of the moment we demolished our house and built a new one! The main catalyst for this was an awesome pool/patio/hot tub combination that Isobela had found at Tiki Tattoo Palms and Plants. We went to the store and looked at it again and decided to buy it.

The main problem was where to put it. As we were discussing that I mentioned that I had an idea of putting our house up on stilts. Isobela merged the two plans together and we worked until 3am getting everything situated. There is still significant work to do, but it taking shape very nicely. She has the greatest ideas!

The GlamShack was the place to be, just like it is every Friday night. It started with DJ Zak and hostess mikki putting on a wonderful show. It looks like he will be the regular early DJ on Fridays though mikki was complaining of short notice so I'm not sure if she'll be his regular hostess. They drew a good crowd and kept the joint jumping.

The Metaverse's favorite glam rock politi-pop power punk showband played next, continuing our slide into the weekend. DJ Zak had been out on Bowie Beach, so Mack and Case set up there, too. The Train Wreck was Sally Can Wait, I think, and right after that I Loved I Love This Song! It always amazes me how they can go from playing in concert halls in Vienna to slapdash decks on Bowie Beach and maintain the same high standard of quality in their music.

DY His Hyness and hostess mikki kept the party going after that with boatloads of fantastic music. Since Nakie Fridays was all mikki's idea people seem to wait for her before the clothing starts coming off. Mack and Case stay for DJ Hy of course, so it's not like people are too shy to strip in front of them. Hmmm, what is this mystical ability that mikki has that causes clothes to just melt away?

People started going down the SuperSlide bare! It's a good thing we were so careful about splinter prevention so as not to get the inner-tubes or even more important parts punctured. Isobela and I took our turn on the SuperSlide then went back to dancing. DJ Hy played way over time, we were all having such a good time on the beach. Seventeen people with two pieces of clothes between them. We've really missed him the past two weeks, it was good to have him back!

Strange Tail

I went out on my airboat again. I finally figured out the controls; I'm sure Mack and Case's dock will appreciate that. It was fun spinning it in circles, and on an open stretch I even got it up to 73 knots! Way cool.

Isobela had subbed for a DJ in the place she DJs at on Monday mornings. The Wanderlust World Music Club. I received notice that she and her host Withnail were being attacked by a dragon, so of course I armored up, mounted my trusty destrier Glam, grabbed a lance and galloped over at once.

Luckily enough they were having a dragon-skinning workshop there later. The skining was easy but getting the smell out took ages. In any case, we now have a nice new dragon-skin rug for in case we ever build another fireplace!

DJ His Hyness with hostess mikki were at the Savoy in the evening. Isobela's cousin Borg was there, too. There must have been something in the water there, though; we all started growing extra appendages. Just another wonderful day in this wonderful world.

Rock the Dock!

Isobela had refurbished the dock just outside of the GlamShack, next to the ridiculously tall Super Slide she bought and installed. We had our hump-day Rock party there with DJ Isobela DJing and we all had a blast.

The dress was "Evening Beach Wear", I wore board short and sandals while she wore a bikini top and long pants. Everyone else dressed however, though a few did change to beach wear once they arrived and saw us. Promise really loved the waterslide, she must have rode down over twenty times. The slide was a big hit with everyone.

Brooke showed up kinda late into the show, when asked if she had been down the slide she asked "Should I be scared?" Mack took her by the hand and went up to the top of the slide with her. Brooke shouted to us "OMG that is a longgggggggggggggg way down!!!" As soon as she hit the bay at the bottom it was "Again again again!!!!"

Drift away to the Blues with DJ Isobela

I went shopping this afternoon and bought a new bronze vest for my Rebel Hope Designs' Carlton Tuxedo to match Isobela's dress for her Blues performance DJing at the Savoy. She had an excellent musical lineup planned and it attracted a nice crowd.

Isobela's cousin Ranger was there, along with Jazno, Jia and Laural. And of course mikki and Hy stopped by! It was one of the largest crowds I have ever seen at the Savoy, at least when a live musician wasn't playing (thinks of Heath again, gotta get him to the GOAT; Isobela says maybe in Roctober.) DJ Isobela played well over her time; everyone was having a blast.

At the same time that we were at the Savoy DJ Cat and hostess Scotti were having a Silks night at the GlamShack! What horrible luck to miss that! I haven't worn my silks in months! We'll have to wait a month or two and have our own Wednesday night Silks night. This Wednesday though is Rock the Dock and I can't wait. Life is good.

DJ Ando and hostess AuroraDawn held a birthday party for merry this afternoon in the GlamShack. I couldn't make it though; I'll hold her spanks until the next time I see her. Twenty-One-derful years again!

I was able to assemble and launch my Sea glider. Most gliders are towed aloft, but this one has like a rocket assist that just throws you up into the air. I turned on the blue smoke trails and buzzed the GlamShack. I landed, Isobela joined me and we buzzed GlamShack again!

After that we went to the Prog Rock Museum at the Tree http://slurl.com/secondlife/Oysterland1/60/104/452. They have some awesome art based on various rock album covers. There were quite a few Oooohs! Much of the art was scale models of characters or scenes from album covers; very cool.

We tried their contest to find hidden mushrooms thingies; they were wickedly hidden all over the museum. We had to ask the manager for a hint on one of them, but did find them all and won a cool robot tank monster avatar costume thing. It came with a combat HUD and the manager recommended that we go have a battle, but we went and purified our souls instead.

Heath Elvehjem was playing in Nantucket. We came in to the rolling sounds of Rhythm - simply wonderful. As Kirk noted, "most triumphant!" This guy is really good, it would be a coup to get him to play at the GOAT. He has four CDs now, I have one and I bet the other three would make a nice Christmas gift for myself. His beagle Ruby said Hi to us all, too; and Heath played the Snoopy Theme Song for her.

From Nantucket we stopped by the showroom for the On A Roll games. They had two other similar table games, and many other cool things. One table game was SLopoly, the other called Greedy Greedy. Neither of us felt like playing SLopoly so we sat down at the Greedy Greedy table to learn the rules. It took most of the first game to get the rules down; we played best two out of three.

He's a frequent visitor to the Savoy, and Isobela says he is an excellent Blues DJ, but this was the first time that we had heard him play Rock. He's quite a good DJ, and I like his accent. I stayed up too late listening but had a good time. DJ Ando then DJ Case then DJ Donagh; Mondays really Rock at the Shack!

Stopped by the stores behind SDI and bought a Buoy, Sea Glider and Everglades Air Boat. I set the buoy out, but I'll probably be re-positioning it constantly to fool interloper submersibles. Before I could get to try either the airboat or glider it was time to head over to the Dakari Coast to help gets things set up for Ajay's surprise Rez-Day party.

I had custom-made a Guest Book for people to leave well-wishes for her, and designed a Rez-Day hat with a funky candle on top that would spit-out random, complimentary pictures of Ajay whenever you touched it. Syn helped me with the pictures, and with the production efforts. He had also made up some unique t-shirts to commemorate the day.

Friendly Fire did a special show for her, and of course Mack and Case sang Happy Rez Day to Ajay. Glammers and Dubliners together, it was quite a party. Ham even stopped by! Later a mud pit was set up and Ajay took on all comers. Amazingly enough Serenity beat her, the ONLY person who's ever done so. Obviously, Ajay and I have never mud-wrestled. I was going to get int he ring with her but I didn't want to make her feel bad by beating her on her Rez Day, but someday soon I probably will. Besides, she was sore from the spankings.

Shortly following Ajay's party there was a Rez-DayHy, Dee and Britt at the GlamShack. I decided to take my new Everglades Airboat; on one turn I kinda lost control a little and drifted near Mack and Case's dock. Mack jumped on and I gave her a ride to the beach in front of the Shack.

DJ Case performed for Hy, Dee and Britt at the GlamShack. Dee couldn't to make it, but we toasted her all the same. The rez-day people had all sorts of friends and friends of friends in and out all afternoon; it was a very nice time. At one point I asked the group a fairly complex, philosophical question; DJ Case replied on mic that it will keep up for a week. Tee Hee.

Friendly Fire, Isobela and I eventually left the party to head to Nightclub Echo Echo for Mack and Case's high-energy, high-humor and high-fashion extravaganza! Steverino, who I consider the best-dressed man in the Metaverse, showed up; it was good seeing him as it had been quite a long time. Friendly Fire played I Love This Song, the second time today that I heard it! That ALMOST makes up for them not playing it last Friday night.

Britt was at the show and rocking out, but had to excuse herself to go to the little girls room. Mack and Case actually stopped the show in the middle of a song to wait for her to get back before they continued! We all waited somewhat patiently, and when she Finally returned the show resumed. She seemed quite embarrassed, but at least she didn't have toilet paper trailing from her shoe when she got back.

Nightclub Echo Echo is the place to be on Sunday Nights; not only do Mack and Case have a show but DJ Jocelyn and hostess Britt rock on with Sunday Night Mayhem and Madness! She's Madness and She's Mayhem and together they are pure fun! The theme was Comedy Night at Echo Echo, a night Laughter and Sillyness. Isobela and I stayed for a little while, but then took off; I had been partying since the early morning and my nerves were a little frazzled.

I had been noticing the area immediately east of the GlamShack was kinda empty now that the Summer Solstice Festival art is no longer there, plus I'm always looking for themes for DJ Isobela's shows, so I had the idea to combine the two for a "Rock on the Dock with DJ Isobela" this Wednesday. Isobela made the idea even better by suggesting that we add a Spring Slide waterslide into the small bay there.

We had looked at these waterslides before, so we went straight to the store and picked one up; luckily they had immediate delivery available. I had thought to set the slide up with a north-south orientation, but as usual Isobela had a much better idea so we set it up east-west so that sliders end up facing the GlamShack as they come off of the final run.

When it was finally set up we both said "Holy Cow” or words to that effect. It is quite tall; you can easily see the Savoy dance floor from the top. We waved at mikki while she was dancing with some stud but I don't think she saw us. I spied Kimala's tip jar and in an amazing fit of dexterity I was able to tip her with one shot! Her tip jar had to be a good 350-400 meters away! I wonder if there is an Olympic category for tip-sniping?

After a few test runs I sent a snapshot of the thing to Mack and Case, so they stopped by on their way home. They tried a few test runs and liked it as well. I made an express elevator from just outside the GlamShack to the top of the slide; one climb up those support beams was enough for me. I also set the cost of inner tubes to go down the slide with to zero; just hit one of the two tube-maker balls up there, sit on the inner tube that appears and have a wild ride!

A couple of times I accidentally fell over the side of the water slide, fortunately most of it is over water so I didn't break anything. I found it is pretty easy to guide yourself and slow down a little on the upper parts of the slide so that you don't fall out. Once you're at the bottom in the bay it is also cool to play bumper-tubes!

Dee stopped by for a little bit, too. God Bless, our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Congratulations Cat, Tali and Dee!

I stopped by the Cup of Goodness Coffee Shop on Beurline Bay for a cappuccino and to flirt with Nanette. I love the coffee wench outfit she wears. After that it was off to the Alternate Metaverse Sky Sanctuary for Cat and Tali's wedding.

I had briefly considered wearing my Glam Me A Beer hat and claiming that it was stuck and I couldn't get it off, but figured Cat would be stressed enough and if she didn't kill me then Isobela would when she found out about it. We did a rehearsal beforehand, luckily I was the third of 5 groomsmen so all I had to do was follow the person in front of me. The ceremony was beautiful! I had been to formal weddings before, but never stood in the bridal party. It was easier than I thought, though afterwards pictures took forever of course.

At the reception I danced the first dance with a bridesmaid so mikki and Isobela danced together; snogging each other's necks and snorfling in each other's ears. I eventually was able to pry them apart and danced many dances with Isobela; DJ Cher was great! As was noted it is difficult to DJ for a DJs wedding! Hy was dancing with mikki, he and I traded partners for one dance and then the lovely couple cut the cake. As soon as the cake was cut Cat sat on it! Hy gave the most wonderful toast, Sláinte!!!

DJ Hy and DJ Isobela were in the DJ Spin Off again. DJ Hy had played first, so DJ Isobela caught some of his overflow crowd. He played some great rock tunes, while she did some more of her "some Humpin, Bumpin, Snog me, Shag me songs!" Bluesy Rock I guess you might call it.

While we were there we found out that it was Dee's Rez Day! Isobela and I were very upset that we hadn't realized it earlier and prepared a party for her. She did seem in good spirits, though; many good spirits. Here's wishing you a happy happy and many more, Dee!

They both did an excellent job, I'm pretty sure she has made it into the finals in a couple of weeks! The main criteria for judging the DJs is the size of the crowd they draw in. That leaves me in the position of asking people to give up their time to come and support Isobela, and I hate asking for things. It's for a very good cause, though; so I'll muddle through.

Later we stopped by the GlamShack and heard JD Arc and merry then DJ John and mikki in the GlamShack. Cool tunes. We headed over to Moxie to play On A Roll but the game table had been switched out! Isobela called Jenda who quickly came over and put On A Roll back up for us.

Isobela won the first game, me the second, her the third, me the fourth and by then it had gotten very late and we were too tired for a tiebreaker. We laugh constantly when we play that game; I love it. Life is good.

More Bass

My friend Cat took me shopping for a tux to wear in her wedding party. It was quite a pain to have it fitted then coordinate the cufflinks and tie tack and Boutineer. I do look pretty good, though; and it will all be worth it

Mack and Case hosted a Birthday party for Dousa in the GlamShack, they played a set and then DJ Case spun some tunes for a while. At 6 they got back up on stage for their regular Friendly Friday Sliiiiiiide in to the weekend show. The Train wrecks started early, and there was no I Love This Song, but everyone there had a rocking blast!

DJ Hy wasn't able to make it this week so we were able to enjoy DJ Zak in his first show at the GlamShack! He plays most excellent music and does a very good job of talking to the crowd and playing the music they want. His glamilicious hostess was mikki who kept everyone in line by threatening to pull out the Mikki Files!

Nef and I wore our pink thongs to commemorate Case's Friday Night performance a few weeks ago. Ajay was gracious enough to leave a few of her dance poles around, and Case and I both danced on one of them. Mack said "Tycho is bending in ways that I didn't think a human could." Poor Isobela missed it, maybe I should have taken some pictures for her?

After Case left mikki danced with me; her wings tickled when we danced back to back! Glamtatious DJ Zak played well past his allotted time, but eventually it was time to go. I think DJ Zak will work out well, I hope we can find a good time-slot for him. It was so nice today not having to rush around at the end of a long work week getting ready to host. It left me enjoy the rest of the evening that much more. Life is good.

Happy Birthday Synapse!

This morning I stopped by Elisabeth's place in Beurling bay and saw the Beurling Waterfront Shops. They have the coolest coffee house there, probably best I've ever seen! I had my usual Cup of Cappuccino. The art on the walls is amazing; they even have the ad for the new McLobster! The outdoor patio is great, and they even have a table out on the water, too. The shops themselves are for pottery, purses and indoor and outdoor furniture. Below the lighthouse was a stage for live performances, very cool. There are free bicycles and sailboats even! I will definitely be stopping back. I wonder if she knows there is a crash-landed flying saucer in the bottom of the bay?

I stopped by BEARintheMorning's place a little later to catch some of his morning show. Mysty was there, I hadn't seen her in a while, plus a few others and of course BEAR. I had brunch there at The Grease Pit Cafe! Despite it's name, it has about the widest selection of really good food that I've seen! BEAR mentioned on air that I had stopped by, and that I was a manager at the GlamShack where Friendly Fire plays regularly. Cool!

Later on Hy stopped by the house in a midget submarine; very cool. He had placed some more at the GlamShack docks so I went and got one and we had a little battle. I sunk him on the first go-around, but only because he had to go answer the phone. We ended up fighting four battles, and I came out on top 3-1. We'll need to do a bit more terraforming of the sea-bed in Bowie and Bolan to make it more conducive to undersea combat.

Friendly Fire played in The Magic Bar in the Open-Air Ballroom at the Salzburg Winter Sports Arena. Dee had some brand-new Deeee-licious tattoos which were a topic of conversation early on, until we learned that it was Synapse's birthday! Well, I'm not totally sure, it may have been the day before, but in any case Mack and Case sang Happy Birthday to him. Well, Case's version of Happy Birthday which has some stanzas something about donkeys and giraffes and curmudgeon.

Things got kinda hairy during the second half of the show, Isobela and I got separated in the mosh pit! Eventually it got better but it was pretty crazy for a while. Near the end of the show Mack asked Isobela and I to come up with a spanking machine. This took nerve as the spanking chair that Isobela had left in the GlamShack for everyone to use was returned by Mack! Sounds to me like, subconsciously at least, Mack wants to try the chair out herself.

Right after Mack and Case finished DJ Isobela was spinning tunes at the DJ Spin-Off competition in Blueberry Hill, the same one Hy was in yesterday. There are one-hour shows and they judge each DJ by the number of people at the venue at quarter-after and quarter-of the hour. By my count there were 29 people at quarter-after and 32 at quarter-of; obviously I ran out of fingers and toes so these numbers are approximate. Mack and Case and Cat and mikki and many others all got onto the Friendly Fire group chat channel and encouraged people to attend, that made a big difference; thanks ya'll!

Later Isobela and I went to see the Jabberwock; what an amazing place. It's a two-grid shopping area but the scenery and atmosphere are so stunning that the shops almost seem like an afterthought. I knew it would be a cool place when we started walking up the first set of stairs, fell through, and ended up in an Alice In Wonderland-themed maze of tunnels and secret passages. We spent a good part of the evening going all over the place, just laughing and relaxing after the hectic afternoon. Not even the giant orange octopus under the pier could phase us. Life is good.

Classic Class

DJ Hy was in a DJ Contest at Andie's & Rg's Beach at BlueBerry. There was a nice crowd of close friends were there cheering him on, plus a few passers-by attracted by the fantastic music. As it was part of a contest it was only an hour long, just a tease. DJ Isobela will be playing there tomorrow and could use everyone's support as well.

Speaking of the Fantabulous One, DJ Isobela was playing at the GlamShack later. Classic Rock by a Classic DJ! Umm, I mean, by a Classy DJ! Yeah, that's the ticket! It was another late show; she has some die-hard fans that just wanted to rock on. It's cool when this happens; she seems to like it when people enjoy what she is playing so much. Another day in paradise.

Big Band Blues

We went to the store that sold the Water Slide we had so much fun with at KaruMagic. It would be fun at the GlamShack on the pier, so we may end up getting it for special occasions. They also have a super-cool log flume ride which we just had to test out!

DJ Isobela was spinning at the Savoy, and the poor dear was stuck with me hosting again. I may be getting a bit better, or at least luckier; there are two other venues nearby that we can check attendance on and we weren't the one with the fewest guests! I'll likely be hosting at the Savoy next week, too; I'd better start working on my notices now.

Some of the Blues DJs from other venues have started following DJ Isobela to see her shows; it was nice to see mikki there too. We had quite a good crowd shaking their tail feathers to the Fantabulous One's Saxxxxxxxyyyyyyyyyyy Blues, especially during the latter part of the night. There was still a good number of people there at quitting time so she played almost an hour longer. DJ Isobela capped the night with some Big Band Blues!

It's A Kind Of Magic

I caught the last bit of DJ Isobela's show at At Last; she had a little better crowd than the last couple of weeks. She spoke of a special event there next week but for the life of me I can't remember what it is now. I'm sure Parker will remember, though.

After the show we changed and Isobela helped me choose a haircut. I ended up with two haircuts, actually. Not there there was anything wrong with the first, we just decided that we'd wanted something different.

A friend of hers called and wanted to go makeup shopping, so Isobela invited me to come along too. A second friend joined them and they had a grand old time. I didn't mind waiting because the store had a magnificent waiting area.

When they were done they all went back to our place for a makeup testing party. I chilled out at our bar for a bit and then headed out to the patio to watch their antics. I did some work on my armor, and on another project.

Later we went to KaruMagic. They have an amazing gigantic water slide that you go down with inner tubes. We too the express elevator to the top, paid out L$5 for tube rental, and flew on down laughing all the way to the bottom. We stayed in our tubes when we got to the pool at the base and played bumper inner tubes for a while, great fun.

One of the owners stopped by and chatted for a bit; she had asked to join in the bumping but it had gotten very late so regretfully we said that we had to be leaving. We each took one turn on the rope swing that throws you into the surfing waves (one more thing to go back there and do!) and headed home, tired and happy. Another wonderful day.

Vendui My Queen & Greetings

This morning I saw the duo Pillowfish in the new Fibber's. Very cool, authentic live Dublin music by rowanna and thom. Padula and niko were sharing a tip jar, not sure what roles they were playing on staff there. Freestar was there, too; I guess she was checking out the live music and these two were very good!

When they were done I listened to alittle bit of DJ Danton with his host Kennef, but had a bunch of chores to do. When I got back my friend Kimala asked me to cover for her at the Savoy the next two weeks, so of course I said yes.

United Warriors were having their weekly SpellFire tournament, being hosted at Stone Keep this week. The weapon being used was a two-handed war hammer, and was quite well done. Before the tournament began I sparred with a guy named Nax and lost 3 in a row. He fought before me in the tournament and obliterated his opponent, so I didn't feel to bad about the sparring losses.

My first fight in the tournament was against DraazHiyr, a Grey Elf of Shadow and wandering mage. As a mage he really wasn't one to fight with a large war hammer, and it showed. I got a couple of good hits in the first exchange of blows, and it went downhill for him from there. His tournament meter dropped from 100 to under 20, giving me the win, while my meter still had 65.

My win was mostly luck, really; this style of fighting is completely different than the wild melees I relished whilst a Warrior of Korat. It will take long practice to gain the proficiency here that I had there. This was tournament combat, though; with many rules to be followed. In combat I would likely do fine following the mantra of if you're not cheating, you're not trying.

In the second round I lost to Nax, Lord of The Crystals; the same fighter that I had sparred with. I had brought him down to 35 before going below 20 and falling unconscious myself. It was actually a bit closer that that score indicates; I feel that I did well. I looked at the tournament biographical notes on him later and his heritage is quite interesting; "Born from Timbavati, White Lion King of The Mountains and Cristalina's Queen Neesha. Grandson of The Piasa Bird, mighty Dragon from North American Continent." No wonder he was so tough!

In the third round poor Nax accidentally fell into one of the lava pits surrounding the tournament field, so his opponent Daniel won by forfeit. The ultimate winner out of the field of 26 participants was Daniel, King of Alderea. Nathaneil, Knight of Alderea came in second and Hunter General Dartagnan third. It took over four hours to watch the entire tournament; it's not something I would want to do every week but might be fun every once in a while. The good thing is that you get to keep the tournament weapon. The war hammer doesn't do much for me, though; I'll probably sell it to my uncouth barbarian acquaintance Urnst.

Later I was lucky enough to witness the rocky crags of Nightclub Echo Echo reverberate with the Glamtastic Rock of Friendly Fire! Promise subbed for Isobela who was off in an undisclosed location intent upon undisclosed activities. BEAR and babyboohoo showed up again; they are getting to be regulars.

Mack and Case sang Make Me Beautiful, I hadn't heard that in a while and it was real good to hear it again. Mack teased us saying that they always consider not playing it, but they did and I love I LOVE THIS SONG! Mack noted it was an anthem, not a ballad; I stand corrected.

Double poofer duty went off without a hitch. I was able to get a few more new Friendly Fire Friends than usual, that was cool. Jocelyn was there getting ready for her show, and she keeps getting the words wrong to Friendly Fire's last song; I'm not sure why; they are as plain as day!

DJ Jocelyn and hostess Britt had a 70's theme; mucho fine musica. It kinda evolved into a topless men in kilts show with tv theme songs. I guess they call it mayhem and madness for a reason. As always, a good time was had by all.

One of Dublin's Own

Isobela has a new tool that helps her create rocks. Included in the rock family are crystal shards. Isobela really likes crystal shards. She made a few that turned out very good and has been talking about selling them. Since I provided half of the startup capital for the tool she suggested that her business be called "Tybella's Mystic Shards". We'll see.

We stopped by the GlamShack for just a short bit to catch the last of the DJ John and mikki show then the first part of the DJ Jocelyn and Britt show. There was a large crowd, and as usual everyone was having a great time misquoting each other. Judristen stopped by too; we hadn't seen him in ages. After the chorus of hellos to him he responded with his usual "Hello Family!"

We had been wanting to visit Kaiya Islands, The Wild Coast for a while, and after several mis-starts we finally made it. It is an exceptional place; very well landscaped. We hung out in the sauna and hot tub for a while, then went out onto the dance floor.

Mykala was DJing from her post near the entrance, and doing an excellent job. Their dance floor was more for singles, but it did have quite adequate couples facilities. The singles dances were quite extraordinary; on par with Tracy's fantastic singles dance ball.

Friendly Fire played at Freeastar Bay's new place - decorated as a cool woodlands setting! It was a half-hour show in one of Freestar's music showcases. I Love I Love This Song!, but Dee was very noisy while they sang it; I almost said something to her about it. If Rosi had been there I'm sure there would have been blood drawn.

Rosedrop played after Mack and Case, and we were having a good time dancing together so we stayed and listened. And Zorch was after him on guitar and vocals as well. Therese was next, very sweet vocals.

Earlier in the day Isobela had been out with some friends, dancing in some strange bar in Dublin. Some guy had been hitting on her, and was having trouble taking No for an answer. He stopped when one of the regulars there pointedly pointed out that "Dude, she is married to one of Dublin's own." It was nice to be referred to in that way. Life is good.

Friday Slide

I set out a new horse sculpture that I bought for Isobela; she seemed to really like it. Of course it was a bit more complicated than just setting it out; I had to consider the angles of the rising and setting sun at different times of the year, there was a weight factor so I had to consider soil composition and erosion; plus I had to clean up all of the debris from the storm last night. Those palm fronds can be sharp!

Later on there was a houseworming party for Elf Fala Lands that I went to. It is a very cool place; a large, mountainous island with the beautiful scenery that the elves are known for. Their whole city was built inside of a mountain. While wandering around in there I saw Koni! She saw me too, but in my elven clothes she didn't quite recognize me, so she asked "Are you Tycho of the GlamShack?" What a wonderful thing to be remembered for!

DJ Isobela's show at the GlamShack had a Psychedelic theme; 60's music. As usual it was mostly deserted for the first hour, but eventually people started showing up. I had done some research for the theme, the counter-culture and social revolution and such, and threw tidbits out into Group IM but it didn't seem to help. I did come across one phrase that I thought was particularly insightful; "If you can remember anything about the sixties, you weren't really there."

When DJ Isobela finished it was time for Friendly Fire to continue the Friday Slide into the weekend. Synapse suggested that Mack and Case write a pink thong song! What an excellent idea! He even offered to write the lyrics for it.

The Train Wreck this time was by the Drifters, Under the Boardwalk. Case did an excellent job with it despite Mack's predictions to the contrary. Vicki and I had a nice chat, we still need to do that Bid 4 A Cure date thing; we'll probably go exploring. I just hope she finds a different hat to wear!

DJ ando66x and hostess merry followed Friendly Fire, filling in for Hy who wasn't able to make it. He plays excellent music, I hadn't heard him before but will make a special effort to in the future. Isobela and I stayed and danced the night away surrounded by fun and friends. We are so lucky.

From the stratosphere to sandy beaches

Today a friend of Isobela's stopped by as we were sunbathing at Tun Tavern (Forward). We chatted for a good bit, he and I often teaming up on Isobela and picking on her. She took it in good spirits, though; lots of desk pounding.

Later on we went exploring, our first stop was at a furniture store that Isobela had heard about. We're not in the market for any furniture, but she wanted to look around to see if we could get any ideas for stuff.

Next we went to Mo-Tech Industries. They have a Store and Art Gallery, and a Sky Lounge at the top of an incredibly tall tower. I don't think that you can get towers much higher in the Metaverse; it had an excellent view of the tops of clouds. I was able to get a copy of that painting of dogs playing poker in the art gallery!

After that we went to Serenite. It is a fairly large outdoors area, medieval in nature but also dedicated to magic. There were al sorts of incredible vistas, purple rocks, marvelous caverns and pentagrams. There was also a small town with shops and a dock with incredible ship moored there. Plus, there was a barn with a hayloft!

Next we visited the beautiful tropical island paradise of Las Arenas Rosadas. They have some most incredible waves there! We walked on the beach around the entire island, including the many beautifully-colored bays and inlets. An incredibly beautiful, restful place.

We arrived back home to say goodnight just in time for dawn to break. Life is good.

Conga! Conga! Conga!

This afternoon Isobela and I went shopping for dance instructors; we learned a few new couples’s dances and how to do a conga line! When DJ Isobela started her show at the GlamShack later that evening we started dancing the couple's dances, but as more people showed up we started the conga line and kept at it throughout the (extended) show!

The theme for the show was Biker night. I wore my leather Harley jacket and Isobela was in a short skirt with sexy boots. Many others wore leathers or other types of motorcycle gear but some just came as they were and since this was the GlamShack of course they were welcomed.

My Friend BEARintheMorning showed up! He said that he came to celebrate his birthday at the coolest club in the Metaverse! BaByBooHoo, aka BB, showed up too. BEAR said that he may be doing one of his morning shows at the GlamShack! Apparently he had talked with Case about this a while back. When he saw me he got worried because with his razor-sharp mind he remembered that I had been to a previous show of his last Halloween, and thought I might nix the idea. What a card.

Isobela ran back into the GlamShack's kitchen and baked a birthday cake for BEAR in between sets, but as soon as she got it done Dee snorked it all down in one gulp! So Isobela made another one and we were all able to share that one. After the cake was gone I called out for a pepperoni pizza and set out yet another keg of beer; BEAR seemed to like that better than the cake.

mikki showed up at the end of the show; she had dumped us to go see the Eagles and had a front-row center seat! She said that she cried for the first hour, it was absolutely amazing. She had even been invited up on stage with them but tripped and fell and lost her chance; what a bummer!

Niky passed by too, I hadn't seen her in ages. With all of the good friends I have been making lately it is good to keep up with old acquaintances too. I need to make an effort to go and see them and not just wait for them to happen by the Shack or a Friendly Fire show. I am blessed to know so many truly amazing people.

Mmmmmm! Pizza!

Tun Tavern (Forward) is a catastrophe. She told me last night that she would fix it. Well, she did; she fixed it worse! I fixed her though; she now has her very own hand-made personal security orb! It is set to only eject Isobela herself from Tun Tavern (Forward). All others are welcome.

I heard the warning ding, looked up, there she was, and then she was gone. After about 15 minutes, when I was able to pick myself up off of the floor from laughing so hard, I turned it off. Somehow I don't think she saw the humor in it though.

Later on DJ Isobela had a smokin' hot show at the Savoy. She featured a couple of Cajun artists, Jimmy Thackery and Tab Benoit. They were very good, and the crowd seemed to be heaping even more praise on DJ Isobela than usual.

I had asked people to pass on any requests to the DJ, so Leeloo playfully asked for some pepperoni pizza. After a short discussion of the relative merits of pepperoni pizza versus pepper spray I called out for the pizza. When it arrived I placed it on a table and hauled out a keg of beer to wash things down with. It didn't exactly fit in with the fine decor at the Savoy but was much appreciated by all present.

We had a small but steady group at the club all night. This is the last night I'm scheduled to fill in for Kimala; she will be back and pulling in the crowds next week. I noticed that Dee was hostessing for DJ Daddie at the GlanShack and wanted to stop by, but by then it was very late. I'll try and catch their show another night. There's always something new to see or do. Life is good.

I was able to catch the last bit of DJ Ando and mikki's show at the GlamShack today. I hadn't heard DJ Ando before; he seems pretty good. And of course mikki is good; she came from the best hostess school in the metaverse!

After DJ Ando it was DJ Case and Ajay's Rock & Roll Listening Party. He was playing some pretty good songs; I hadn't been to one of his Monday shows in a while, maybe he's changed format. Anyway we were all just rocking out, having a good time when all of the sudden, completely out of the blue, for absolutely no reason at all, Isobela says "TYCHO!!!! you are a dead man walking".

Apparently I had done something to upset her, but I have no idea what. She must have been really upset though because she and Ajay start to plotting against me. Isobela says "I think perhaps a redo of "Manly Man Island" is in order" and they start talking about pink pillow cushions and curtains and all sorts of other un-manly things. I was called away on business just then, and I left her with one firm admonition: No!

Later on, when I returned, things were really strange. Clouds were inverted, highways were upside down and unreachable, birds flew backwards. In the midst of all of this chaos I catch Isobela busily trying to destroy Tun Tavern (Forward)! My island! Luckily for her Amylyn happened by, so we all chatted for a bit as if one of us wasn't in mortal danger. Di bo chet indeed.

Now that's a big rock!

I helped a new citizen find his way around today. He was un-naturally concerned about his appearance, and was on a tight budget, so I spent the morning with him going around from place to place looking for bargains and freebies. I think he is passable now, but could probably use a little more in his wardrobe.

Later I went to hear Bones on piano in the new Maritime Club, then went and visited a friend of Isobela's in North Africa. She has a way cool place; she even had a game of Footsie set out near the fireplace! From there we went shopping and Isobela had me buy all of these flower seeds for planting around the house. At least she paid for half of them.

I didn't have a chance to plant them before it was time to get ready for Friendly Fire at Echo Echo! curmiekins showed up early for once, but then heckled the band as they were trying to get ready. Case has an elaborate pre-show warmup routine that must not be disturbed, and curmieboo was pushing the limit as usual.

Rosi limped into the club on one leg! The other one was cut clean off right below the knee! Let this be a lesson to you all: don't play on railroad tracks! Not only will you lose limbs, but your hair will turn blue and you will have to wear a silly pirate costume.

The music was phenomenal! I'm really getting to like It's My Time!, though still I Love I Love This Song! There was a new guy there hanging with Argus and them; in between songs Case was talking tech about their drummer with him. I didn't see Rosie there, and Farr has been working too hard.

Neko Neko at Echo Echo was mysteriously cancelled. No explanation was given. Britt hypothesized: "I think joc just wanted to see how many of us would give her a bit of tail!" Isobela and I stayed for a few minutes and then headed out.

Finding the flower seeds had given Isobela the idea of totally redoing the landscape. We shoveled out about a square acre of sand from the island our house is on and added it to Elfie island. Isobela had long been an admirer of these large rocks that our neighbors a couple of furlongs to the west have, so she arraigned to have three of them choppered in.

When our new rocks arrived they were much larger than they looked in store; it was quite a challenge placing them just-right. Isobela also bought this giant, fully-grown monkey tree that had to be choppered in as well. I climbed up one of the rocks and was able to make a stupendous diving platform!

The view from our balcony is a whole lot different, but it did turn out better. Now if I could only get her to keep her mittens off of Tun Tavern (Forward)!
